Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Dear Mr Fantasy, where we bring you the hard-hitting news. My name is Connor and I am joined, as always, with my co-host, my baby daddy Dill. How you doing today, daddy Dill?

Speaker 2:

It feels really special to hear you say those words. Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Something you've always been waiting for. Yeah, let's get it right into it. Let's get to our matchup winners. It was a week at the salon because there was only blowouts. Somebody called it was an AARP life alert because the G-Paws have fallen and they can't get up. They lose 62.36 to DK, half of your way at 111.72, but who's counting? Thanks for the added DK there. Dill, that's nice.

Speaker 1:

We have the newly named Nick Iafredi team. Kai Renaissance Football Club. Why does it say clan there? Man who edits these documents? This is awful. The Kai Renaissance Football Club beats Marx's right 116 to 80. Bijan Mustard gets a little stain on their shirt this week. Falling to Parsons of Interest Beats him. 125.7 to 88.3. I'm on top of the world. Finally climbs back on top of the world against Team Cronus, which we will talk about later. 87.8 to 67.9. We do have one successful grandpa this week. Brad Gramps takes down Kirkeman's dead, who looked dead on Sunday, at 99.5 to 57.1. Cook and their ass just does that against St Stevenson 110.3 to 78.5. I would mention the West Virginia TV audio barn burner of the week, but there was really not one. It was kind of decided fairly quickly on Sunday. There was really no shot for a lot of these teams, come Monday or even Sunday night it was pretty open and shut. Are we surprised by this Dylan?

Speaker 2:

It's always surprising when there's not a single barn burner because it's been close. But what's not surprising is the standings. Right now there are a mess of two and two teams, which is kind of what we were looking at last year. It just goes to show there's a lot of parity in this league of ours. We've got four, seven, two and two teams. We've got four, three and one teams. It's early. We're only heading into week five. This is when the going starts to get good, because you start to hit by weeks. The managers who are paying attention really start to shine. But more than that, you just see a lot of competitive games being played here. It's really good. It's good to see all the owners being somewhat in this competition here that we have going on, because you want as many non-Tobies as can be.

Speaker 1:

That is correct. We do have two own four teams right now, which is pretty crazy. Everyone's very locked into this league. We have two guys that are down and out early. We're not too far into the season where we can say someone's really out of it. Even an own four team can make it. Espn has given them 15% and 14% chances to make the playoffs, which is still more than you'd think after starting with four losses. You're not down or out yet, but I'm glad you brought up the Toby Dylan, because we are going to probably start to have Tobi's possibly next week, if not the week after. Based on how this week goes, we might have Tobi's next week. Do you know who's not a Tobi?

Speaker 2:

It's the big boys.

Speaker 1:

I'm saying the big boys in general, but a couple of my guys are big boys here, which brings me to my first big boy, anthony Richardson. The big boy award goes to you because it was the first full game that you've played without leaving for injury. Congratulations to Anthony Richardson, who put up 30.1 points, 200 passing yards, 56 rushing yards, two passing TDs, a two point conversion and a rushing touchdown. You belong, kid. You're here, you're in the league, you look great. I'm over the moon with this pick still. So that's why he's my big boy of the week. But again, he finished a game without coming out because of a possible concussion. So I've got to give him props on that one to keep doing that, because then you'll keep putting up 30 fancy points every week. So congratulations to you, dylan, who's your big boy of the week.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, before I get to my big boy, I think Anthony Richardson also did a better job of protecting himself. At least as far as I could tell, he didn't take any of those massive big hits. So good to see their love that pick. You got them late in the draft in the couple leagues that I got them in same type of deal and you feel absolutely great about it because again, second QB picked out of your team To have a backup QB shine like. That is amazing Kudos to you. And my big boy of the week is none other than Zachary Taylor Wilson. Taylor's, not his middle name, that is president of the United States.

Speaker 2:

But he's killing it. He's going to battle every week, like Zachary Taylor did in the Mexican-American war. So he's really dominating here. 20.2 fantasy points. Let me rephrase he's not dominating right.

Speaker 2:

There were some mistakes made in that game against Kansas City, biggest one being the fumble right, but they were in the game. This was a team that was supposed to get blown out by Kansas City in prime time. And the fact that they hunt in till the end and Wilson threw a couple touchdown passes and looked relatively sharp. You're seeing the improvement, right, that's what you want to see out of young quarterbacks, Because each game they're starting to see the game a little bit faster. Right, they're making their reads faster. For them the game is starting to slow down and I think you're seeing some of that with Wilson, and I got to say most people are probably behind Wilson succeeding because he's gotten so much hate, he's gotten so much bad press, I would say, in the toughest market in the world, that most football fans do want to see Wilson do well here.

Speaker 2:

And from a fantasy perspective, he's a free agent. He's not on any team right now. I don't know if he's going to get picked up anytime soon. I don't know if anyone's willing to throw that dart, except maybe my squad. Suffice to say it's an improvement. He went up against the defending Super Bowl champs and nearly won the game. So bravo, Zach Wilson. You deserve to be a big boy this week.

Speaker 1:

Dylan, please don't pick up Zach Wilson and play him. I beg of you, please, please, don't do that to yourself. I see what you're saying. It was an improvement. We do love to see Zach Wilson have a decent week in a prime time game against a really good team. I don't know, I'm not trusting it yet. Let me see this a few more times because, like you said, you want to see a young quarterback start to figure it out, start to get it. But it's kind of been a little bit. We haven't seen him really get it yet. So the fact that it would happen this one random Sunday night versus the Chiefs, I'm not a believer yet. I hope it does happen. That'd be great Routing for him, but I don't think it's happening yet and I'm going to wait to see. I mean, they play the Broncos this up only week in Denver, not a huge test. But if they come out and dominate, I'll listen. I'll listen to the Zach Wilson hype. They play the Eagles. I don't know. I want to believe but I can't yet. So I like your support of Zach Taylor Wilson, but I'm not Zachary. Zachary Taylor Wilson, just to run down before we go to running backs.

Speaker 1:

Josh Allen was your top score of the week at 36.5 points, had a dominated game. Lamar Jackson had another great week at 28.6 points. Justin Fields finally came alive Four passing touchdowns. You know ran a little bit but it was mostly through the air to DJ Moore. So good on you, justin. And then another Justin. Mr Herbert, coming in at 23.38 points, also had a decent week. Two rushing touchdowns for him. So a new side of the Justin Herbert that you haven't seen before.

Speaker 1:

But going to our running backs, my big boy of the week I am also going to go with a Homer pick here, christian McCaffrey. He is your leading scorer in our very, very, very ancient standard scoring. He is the number one offensive player in fantasy right now. He scored 41.7 points, 106 rushing yards, three touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns, 71 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. He is the big boy of the week. He's my big boy of the season. He has been absolutely incredible. He fits so well in this offense as much as the talk was before that you know he was going to take less snaps. It was going to be more of a split backfield. That has been a bold faced lie so far. So I wanted to give a shout out to CMC. Very happy. I took you at number one overall. That's all I really got to say about him.

Speaker 2:

I'll say a couple things.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, okay, you go ahead.

Speaker 2:

Okay, because CMC, of course, is near and dear to my heart, being a former panther drafted by the Carolina Panthers. It's bittersweet to see him succeed like this. Like a part of you is like cheering him on because he's healthy and thriving, and then a part of you is why did we ever let him go? Because how different would Bryce Yon's rookie season be looking with this Christian McCaffrey in the backfield? I don't know. The fact that the Panthers also used the picks they got for McCaffrey on guys like Darnold and Mayfield makes you feel pretty sick to your stomach, but it is what it is. He's making the Panthers GM look pretty dumb at the moment because most of the time you're going to say, yeah, trade away a top running back. They are more prone to getting hurt. But you can see where it backfires pretty easily if you don't hit them at the right time, if you miss fire and trade them away in the middle of their peak rather than during their back end of their career descent. So you're seeing that backfire on the Panthers right now and I would be lying with every McCaffrey touch and touchdown. A part of me doesn't die there. But speaking of other maybe descending, maybe not descending running backs.

Speaker 2:

I do want to give some shout out to King Henry, because I said some things last week. Yes, yes, connor, you were right. The rain is not over. He is still king of the land and deserves to rain for at least a little bit longer. He even threw a touchdown pass on a well designed play.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I don't know why they don't run that play every time they're on the goal line. It just seems to work 99 out of 100 times, because he could just bulldoze his way in there or just find the open man in the back of the end zone. And it's so hard on a defense because everything about them they're probably coached stay on your guy. But then every instinct is we have to go tackle this huge guy coming at us to prevent him from gaining a single yard. So it must be so hard on the defense to stay disciplined, and you see that it works out. So, yeah, king Henry, he's alive and well For now. I would not be surprised if he ends up on the trade market at some time this season. I'm speaking in real football here, because I still don't know if the Titans are really going anywhere with the current roster. But no, yeah, big boy, king Henry, back at it. Connor, you were right, so how does it feel to be right once again?

Speaker 1:

Man, I'm so glad you brought this up, because if you weren't going to, I was going to. Yeah, I was freaking right. Derek Henry is still that guy man. The Bengals are in a tough spot. It is not looking good over there in Cincinnati. Yeah, so Cincinnati called a timeout when they saw Derek Henry line up as the quarterback. So you were like, oh, they saw. You know the play they run every time, you know, in that red zone. They've never seen Derek Henry do this play before. You know what's going to happen. And then they came back out of the timeout in the same formation and still still scored a touchdown. How do we? How do we do that? I don't know. I'm not sure how that happened. I'm not sure why that happened, but I'm glad it did because, yeah, derek Henry was great.

Speaker 1:

You know, when they have the right game script which is maybe the thing going forward is like, when are the Titans going to be up like that? You know they end up when it was at 27 or three, like they blew them out. You're going to be concerned about matchups going forward, but when they're up, derek Henry is their guy and he's going to get all the touches. He's going to burn a lot of clock and he's going to get a lot of yards and a few scores. So yeah, happy that he kind of came out of the shell this week, kind of what happens. He's like, weirdly, the quintessential boomer bust guy. Like he booms, he can get you 40 points in a week, just based on touchdowns, you know, and usage. But there's there's weeks for you know he'll give you only a couple points because they're, you know, losing by 20, because they're the Titans and they're they're not a well built team. So I'm curious if your prediction comes true, if you know they have guys like D hop and Derek Henry. I don't know if you could trade Ryan Tannehill at this point, but any of their veteran guys are on the trade market going forward If they can't get to a good spot in the playoff hunt. But curious how that all unfolds.

Speaker 1:

But let's move on to our wide receiver big boys, I wrote a bunch of names down here. I didn't really pick one. I think I'm going to go with AJ Brown as my big boy of the week because he asked for this. You know he made a major complaint about not seeing the ball and then immediately in the past two weeks he has been. He has been the number one target on this Philadelphia team. He has shown that he is still that number one receiver 175 yards, two touch sounds, second wide receiver on the week, right behind Stefan Diggs, who also looks great. But I got to give him props for, you know, making your voice heard. Tell your star quarterback that you aren't seeing enough passes. Maybe we should tell all of our star players to just complain about it until all of a sudden, you are fantasy relevant again. So that is my wide receiver, big boy of the week, dylan. Who do you got?

Speaker 2:

Well, that's a great point there, because I think Kyle Pitts could maybe learn a thing or two from HA Brown, and I think all Kyle Pitts managers might agree with me there. My wide receiver, big boy of the week, is a guy who I have loved to watch all season. I love the guys who come out of nowhere and dominate and I'm not talking about my other man crush of the year Got to catch them all. No, I am talking about none other than Nico Collins. This guy, I mean there was talk about him being a decent pick in fantasy drafts a little bit of a flyer, you know. You could get him late in the draft because it was on this Texans offense that no one had any idea what Stroud would look like under center in the NFL, let alone on this Texans team. That seemed to still be a work in progress. Well, I think they might be the fastest rebuilding team in the NFL right now. The defense looks sharp. They shut down Kenny Pickett and that Pittsburgh offense. And Stroud is just unbelievable as a rookie. I mean you're seeing it with all the records he's putting in on, Like he's up there with Warren Moon and Tom Brady right now in terms of their first season.

Speaker 2:

So it's been awesome to watch the Texans kind of bloom this beginning of the year. We'll see how long this lasts. Right, it's a long season and there's injuries bound to happen. But a big reason for that has been Nico Collins and his ability to go up and make grabs. I mean he's built like a true wide receiver one. He's got huge like lanky arms. He's able to grab the ball right out of the air. Jumping ability is awesome in the red zone. He's speedy, he can break tackles, he can run after the catch. I mean he's having a true breakout season and so I'm just really excited to see what Nico Collins has done this year. I'm excited to see what Stroud has done and the chemistry that they're already building in year one of Stroud and I think this might be year two or three of Collins I'm not entirely sure but it's been wonderful to watch from a football point of view.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, man, he's 6'4", he is built that way. He is a number one wide receiver. That Houston core looks awesome, dude. Their offense is humming right now and I wasn't a believer. I was a non-believer as of the beginning of this season, but I'm starting to be convinced that this is actually a legit offense. Yeah, I just love this duo. Yeah, nico Collins, you have, tank Del, you have Dalton Schultz.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you got Dalton Schultz there. Yeah, I mean, as funny as that sounds, it is a really legit receiving core and I'm excited for what they do. Again, like you said, it's early, we're still only four weeks in. We have to know where we're at. Maybe let's check in halfway, three quarters of the way through the season, see if we're still here, but it could happen. So you just stroud belongs in this league, just like Anthony Richardson. They both look absolutely fantastic. So I'm glad you chose Nico Collins this week. That was fun. He was a guy, got to give a shout out to. Stefan Diggs 30 points. Pukinakua your other man crush at 22.3 points. And Justin Jefferson, again with a lovely week, at 20.5 points. We had a lot of big boys this week, but those are the number ones. The only tight end big boy, at least for me this week, was Mark Andrews your boy. Right, you have Mark Andrews.

Speaker 2:

I do, yeah, and it was good to see him get some red zone work and run after. The catch ability on display Looks like he had that injury at the beginning of the season, so it looks like he's fully healed and ready to go, so I'm excited about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm always skeptical to say someone's fully healed when they're playing football. I think he's kind of healed and is tough enough to not sit out a game. So if you want to call that fully healed, yeah, he's fully healed.

Speaker 2:

He doesn't have a cue by his name. He's fully healed in my book.

Speaker 1:

He's totally, he's totally good. Mark Andrews is 100% healthy. Everyone, you heard it here first. We are breaking news here. Yeah, 80 yards, two touchdowns, kind of what you want to see. He's actually the tight end one on the year after this week. Again, it's early, it's hard to kind of call. Travis Kelsey is like TE6 at the moment, so you know, being surpassed by Hunter Henry.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm the Taylor Swift curse going on.

Speaker 1:

I wasn't even going to bring her up, I was going to bring her up like the age, oh, but I mean yeah, the age difference between Taylor and Kelsey.

Speaker 2:

Is that what's going to take them down? Is that what you're implying?

Speaker 1:

No, oh God.

Speaker 2:

What's the?

Speaker 1:

scoop, there's no scoop, there's no scoop. It's just that I think he hasn't had at least Travis Kelsey has not had that true breakout week. He'll put up like 30 points in a week. He'll catch two touchdowns, 100 something yards, or three touchdowns, 100 yards, something like that, but hasn't had that yet. Tight end is kind of a wasteland anyways. So Mark Andrews is your tight end one, so far at least in this league. So yeah, he is my big boy. Did you agree on this big boy or do you have your own? Okay, I figured this was your call as well. And then defense and kicker. We won't talk much about, but again, your cowboys are the big boy at defense 19 points. They got two touchdowns, two interceptions, a fumble return and fumble return, a fumble recovery and three points against. This just pathetic looking New England team is not great over there for Bella Check and company. And then the kicker big boy of the week is Jake Elliott 18 points. Good on you. Nothing more to say about that. Anything else to chime in about?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean Elliott's low key. This is his second week on the big boy list, so we might have to start making an own category for Jake here, like he might have to be in a league of his own with the big boys, like big legs, you know something like that, something that really rolls off the tongue, you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we'll workshop that, so let's crowd source that maybe.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we'll crowd source it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let's send emails to Dear Mr Fantasy, I think it's Dear Mr. Fantasy football at gmailcom is our email, so if you have any suggestions, please email that. I will check that in the first time in about nine months, tomorrow, when we get all these emails.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, just give us a shout there and we will certainly highlight your email and give us, give us feedback, let us know if we're saying a word too many times, if there's something about the tone of our voice, if you're just like straight up annoyed by us and you just like think we should stop, like just email us and we'll consider it for sure. So yeah, hit up, dear Mr Fantasy football, at gmailcom with all your questions and concerns. We're here 24 seven to help with your daily needs.

Speaker 1:

Wow, that was so much information that was not prepared for. We are not 24 seven, by the way. Don't don't expect an email back. I guess it's international listeners. It's kind of 24 seven. Now when you're awake, you know we'll, we'll be, we'll be responding to your emails, but all the domestic people like now when you're asleep, we ain't get back to you. All right, we're not going to, we're not going to send you an email. Three in the morning, get out of here.

Speaker 2:

I will, because I'm up usually with the baby, so I'll send that email.

Speaker 1:

I'm here 24 seven as long as you take that responsibility, because I will not be awake during that. So if you want to be 24 seven, we could be 24 seven, but I will. I will work my nine to five and I will I will go home after All. Right, don't you lead this next segment. I see you've added something here to the document, so give this one off.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so our next segment, as you know, is bad boys, and this bad boys section is sponsored by Cronus law. Get your lawyers here.

Speaker 1:

That's wow. That was it. That was all that was really for for everyone at home. That was all that was written on the document I thought he was going to maybe, I don't know add them a little bit, give a little more, give a little more pep to that one. But nope, just bad boys sponsored by Cronus law.

Speaker 2:

Get your lawyers here. Get, get everything you need. If you're in trouble, call Cronus law, because we're here 24 seven, like fantasy football, dear Mr Fantasy at gmailcom. We're here 24 seven. So call us Cronus law. Maybe not 24 seven, because I got to check with Steven. Make sure that he's there 24 seven, and so it's probably not 24 seven. Don't hit up Cronus law, but, but we're here. Get your lawyers here, cronus law, all right.

Speaker 1:

I want to apologize to all the listeners because I was wrong. He shouldn't have ad-libbed on that. He should have just read the copy and I've learned my lesson on pushing him there, so that would happen again. Everyone, I appreciate your patience with this. We're going to get to our bad boys, which I think we're going to lead off with our number one bad boy of the week. It was Dylan kicking off that segment. That was. That's the worst one of the week by far. No, I'm just kidding. I'm going to start with the quarterback position. Here Dylan gets overshadowed by Joe Burrow yet again.

Speaker 1:

I called it being a slow start, but this is. This is gone on a bit too long. We are at 5.7 points this week, 165 yards and a fumble an absolute trouncing of game. There's no life in this offense. You know. Rip to everyone that took Jamar Chase and T Higgins. You know, in the top three rounds it's bad. I want to say that there's life beyond this. I want to say that this slow start becomes something more, but it's starting to be a concern of mine. I don't know if the bangles are going to get out of this, especially because the Joe Burrow injury is like lingering. It's going to keep coming. This calf injury is not going to go away. But this is not good. I'm maybe panicking about this team and especially this player and the people that benefit from this player. Yeah, I'm not feeling good. Do you have anything to say about this or do you want to go to your boy?

Speaker 2:

I mean it's like I've been talking about the last couple of weeks. I've been in panic mode about Joe Burrow and the bangles, so I wish I could say I'm surprised here, but I'm going to go in a different direction for my bad boy and it's going to be, you know, perhaps the greatest quarterback of the I don't know, definitely of the last five or six years, but he's going to make a case for best of his generation is Pat Mahomes at 12.72 fantasy points, getting wins. The team is looking good. You know they're going to be in it at the end, but he was not drafted to put up 12.72 fantasy points, so it is definitely hurting St Stephenson's team. This is what I was afraid of after draft night. I was talking about how using that second round pick on Mahomes does leave you vulnerable there, especially if he doesn't deliver. Then it leaves you in rough, rough shape and they're at 0 and 4 now and that's, I mean, a big part of that's been because Mahomes just hasn't delivered the same way in terms of fantasy output that he has in the past. It's a new cast of characters.

Speaker 2:

Kelsey was hurt for a week. We talked about him earlier kind of underperforming. Doesn't have something to do with Mahomes. I mean, maybe the defenses are keen in on Kelsey a little more because there's not as many weapons to go around, I don't know, but something to keep your eye on. He's been good. He's still, I think, top five fantasy quarterback, but he's in that 5-6-7 range. So it's not like you're panicking about Pat Mahomes.

Speaker 2:

I'm not putting him in the panic meter at all, but it's about using that second round draft pick more on him. I think if you're playing fantasy football and you did that, you're kind of in a hole at the moment just because you lost out on maybe some more valuable chips you could play there. So yeah, mahomes will be my bad boy the week.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I like it. Actually he's quarterback eight in our league on the years so far in terms of points per game. I think he's quarterback nine. But yeah, we're getting to a point of fantasy where we were so convinced you have to take quarterback high because it's that much of a difference, especially the running quarterbacks Like Lamar and Josh Allen, people that can use their legs you kind of want to Jalen Hurts, you want to take early, early, and now it's like there's not that much of a difference. I mean we're having guys pop up. I mean Jordan Love and Kirk Cousins have held their own. You have guys like Tuha who don't run but as long as they have receivers that can get yards after the catch. I mean, freaking, russell Wilson is right behind Patrick Mahomes by a point this year, not even a point, a point six of a point a six of a point behind Patrick Mahomes on the year and his team is awful.

Speaker 1:

I just you know we did discuss this draft night and stuff to do the early quarterback in the second round, I get it. You know, if you want to take the fourth round, fifth round, you know, take a flyer there. But yeah, second round, there's just so much talent there it's hard to convince yourself that a quarterback's worth there.

Speaker 1:

But you know, again, he's a plug and play. It's what he wanted. You can just play Patrick Mahomes every week and not think about it. 12 points Fancy-wise is not exactly what you want, but you know it's better than this next guy. I'll tell you which is my bad boy at the running back position AJ Adelon, 1.1 points.

Speaker 1:

I played against him this week so it's like probably a good thing for me but he's not very good. We're not using him in a great way. He is not at least the running back I thought we'd have, based on his, you know, physical stature. You know I kind of thought of him as a. You know we use Aaron Jones in the first half of a game and then when the defense gets tired you start to use AJ Adelon. You know tough to tackle Again. He might get better as it gets colder, but right now he has been pretty terrible and he's only in our bad boys because he was started this week. I only put in people that were started in our fantasy league to all of our international listeners out there. But yeah, aj Adelon is my bad boy at the running back position and I hope he gets to be better because I'm really sad as a Packer fan that spent a second round pick on AJ Adelon. I appreciate his blocking but I don't appreciate his his running ability at the moment.

Speaker 2:

I have a thought. So there was all this talk about the Packers perhaps trading for Jonathan Taylor at some point right.

Speaker 2:

I'm not convinced that that talk isn't over. I think there's still a chance that Taylor gets traded this season and I think there's still a chance he gets traded to the Packers. And I'm wondering if Dylan becomes part of that package, because I could see him doing really well in Indianapolis for whatever reason. I mean the blocking ability along with Richardson, you know, like just pounding the ball in there. He's still a big back, like physically it's what you want out of a downhill runner. I could see it being a situation where you kind of have a swap and a couple picks for Taylor there. So just a thought that occurred to me I don't know maybe happens.

Speaker 2:

I think the Jonathan Taylor situation is still one that's really interesting. What happens there? I know he's geared up to practice this week and they're expecting him to suit up for Sunday it's. But you know, I kind of think we're both on the same boat where it's like We'll believe it when we see it, because it's been like such a roller coaster of an offseason and regular season with Taylor and so he's. You know, I think even if he still Goes out and plays, there's a chance that he is traded at some point and I'm sure the Packers would love to have them, right yeah yeah, we'd.

Speaker 1:

I mean it'd be great, it'd be tough money wise, because we have to. We have to extend Rashaun Gary right now and it seems like it could be pulled off. But I have to be in the kind of like a saints kind of way of kicking the can down the road with these two contracts, because once you trade for Taylor you have to extend him like that's the whole reason he wants out of the Indianapolis Is because he wants that contract. So yeah, if we could, if we could do some some dumb stuff with our books, yeah, we could, we could extend him. I. I agree with you. I, aj Dylan is the trade piece in that trade. It was AJ Dylan, a second rounder, and I believe I Don't know another, a couple late rounders and they were like a six or a seventh somewhere down the line. But that was kind of what the Packers were offering. Was AJ Dylan based, which, like you said, he could fit well in Indianapolis. He'd be a great blocker for Anthony Richardson, a nice change of change of pace back for Anthony Richardson and company. But yeah, contract wise it's tough. I mean still possible, and you know they were ones in the conversation, don't know if they end up being the team that actually gets him.

Speaker 1:

But I do agree that Jonathan Taylor will Still eventually get traded. He slated to start practicing this week. I didn't want to mention it because I don't want to be cursed here, but he's coming back to practice on Wednesday, so we'll see his His progress going forward. I'm curious how that all plays out, but I do think he gets traded. I don't know if it's the Packers. I'd like it to be the Packers, as a Packer fan, of course but I don't know if it's actually gonna be them. So We'll stay tuned on that one. I see your bad boy of the week. Just say it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah well, I'm just but hurt as a Panthers fan. Miles Sanders has been disappointing in real life and in fantasy. He was playing behind a killer Eagles O-line last year and not playing behind that this year, and so you're seeing a pretty drastic drop-off in production. But what concerns me more is just he doesn't look good, like he doesn't. It could be the shoulder injury he's been battling since the beginning of the season and when he's healthier, when he's kind of off, the injury report more.

Speaker 2:

I've seen better things out of Sanders, but Like last game for instance. Being a Panthers fan, I've watched the whole game and so Chuba Hubbard looked like the better running back out of the two and the fact that they paid Sanders, you know, 45 million or whatnot to come here is Again an indictment against the GM. It's an indictment against the owner. It's an indictment against the coaching staff. I'm not a happy camper with the Panthers at the moment. I'm searching for ways to be optimistic about their future and I can't find much, because they've given their first round pick away to the Bears. So even if they do finish as one of the worst teams in football this year, they don't have a first round pick. Their defense is still kind of a work in progress, but they also want to try to hold on to Brian Burns and other players like that because they maybe think that they're contender. They've surrounded Bryce young with Aging veterans like Adam Thielen and DJ Chark again the aforementioned Miles Sanders and an offensive line.

Speaker 2:

That's not protecting young either. Frank Reich's clock management has been horrendous. He didn't call a timeout with a chance to get another three points on the board on Sunday after they Intercepted Kirk Cousins for the second time late in the first half. That was a huge boo boo and I think it's also having to do with him play calling at the same time. So he's wearing a little too many hats. His play calling has been Ultra conservative.

Speaker 2:

There's a meme going around that's just like Every play call is pretty much Frank Reich two-yard screen, which is what he's been sending Bryce up, bryce young up for. Maybe it's because he's just trying to protect the guy, but the protection is actually backfiring because he's still getting hurt out there and turning the ball over and the Ultra conservative play calling is not doing young any good that I can see in in terms of his Development to progress. So I think all around has been an organizational failure and I think it has less to do with the players and more to do with the GM, the front office, the owner and, so far, the coaching staff. So there, rant over. Let's move on to another bad boy which this kind of like. We went tit for tat here because I put a bad boy from your team. You're gonna put a bad boy for my team here.

Speaker 1:

I am. I love this therapy session, dylan. This is so nice that you just let it all out on here, just, really just let the Panthers rage through you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, my, my bad boy of the week at the wide receiver position is Chris Olave, who Only put up four yards, missed a couple of deep shots. You know halls. In one or two of them this is a different story. They got shellacked by the Buccaneers, you know they were in a script that made sense for them. Dare car played, but maybe shouldn't have, with that AC joint injury. So, yeah, just just a down week for Chris a lot.

Speaker 1:

I don't think this is gonna be like a frequent thing because he's been pretty consistent so far this season, but this was a brutal one, especially for you know that I thought this game you know with. You know I figured Michael Thomas was gonna get shut down. Chris Olave could maybe shine a little bit but didn't really work out that way, figured he'd have. You know so be it. Mostly a defensive game, but not just four yards. So disappointing for where you drafted him he's your wide receiver one. He was nowhere close to that this week. So yeah, I didn't mean to put him up there because I know he's on your team, but it was bad and I'm sorry that this happened to you, dylan.

Speaker 2:

It's all good. I mean, yeah, I think a lot of it did have to do with Derek Carr's shoulder injury. He couldn't really throw the ball deep. I put on a different Wide receiver for my bad boy. Um, this was Jerry Judy, denver Broncos. I think he's not a crooked man and he put up 5.2 points. You know he's, he was injured for some time and maybe he's working himself back, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of chemistry between him and Wilson. So far there's been a lot of deep shots to guys like Mims Cortland. Sutton has been the goat guy, go-to guy in the red zone Going back to Panthers talk a little bit there in, according to sources, the hunt for a Y receiver.

Speaker 2:

So then they're looking for a wide receiver. Yes, it's kind of confusing because they're on four, but they're in the market, according to inside sources, for a wide receiver. And I'm looking at the Broncos and like this is a team that's really not going anywhere this season. Jerry Judy seems to be like the odd man out at the moment. Maybe the deals to be had there, where Judy goes to Carolina and we send like a couple picks or something or you know, fourth round or fifth round or to to Denver for Judy Because he's still young. I think he's still got the talent and it's just being nice to pair him with With young over there, but maybe that's wishful thinking. Either way, judy's been disappointing so far this season.

Speaker 1:

Yeah that I love a good O and four team being a buyer.

Speaker 2:

I told you, dude, front office, they're killing it. They're really on top of their stuff.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like that you know again. So he's under contract till 2024 and then he's an under restricted free agent in 2025. So if you trade from this year, you get basically a year and a half out of them, which you know is beneficial to a Rookie quarterback, like it's nice to have someone that's not over the age of 32 being your wide receiver one. But yeah.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if it's like work, like you said, they're bad with trading draft picks. Like do you think you're gonna Get Jerry Judy on a discount? Like still think you're gonna have to pay up for for that man, but um, I'm curious that happens. That'd be really sad if it does. I don't think it's the right move. But I appreciate your insight there and I hope that they don't do that for your sake. You'll be ranting a lot more on this podcast going forward.

Speaker 2:

That could possibly be. But I'm telling you it'll be more fun to watch the Panthers on Sunday if they have, like a young buck, a young buck going going deep for young to throw to, because at the moment it's between Thelon and shark and you know, terris Marshall and Jonathan Mingo.

Speaker 1:

It's not happening?

Speaker 2:

It's really not happening.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, I like, I like the idea of Adam Thelon, but Alamance, I don't know if it's, if it's the right call for for this young type of team Said there, think you need more of a young core to build around you know, I kind of like the Packard's approach right now. I just like have your entire offense be on lower level deals, either rookie contracts or, you know, early second contract.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's, let's make the future price.

Speaker 1:

Wow, that's right, it's good, I like it. Speaking of that, let's move on to our sad boys. We only have a couple this week. No, no major injuries. Finally, thank God that was a tough couple weeks there in the beginning. Justin Herbert has broken finger and his non-throwing hand he's trying to be a tough guy about it. Technically that's okay. He can. He can play with that, but Probably hurts when he when he puts on that stiff arm after two rushing touchdowns this week.

Speaker 1:

Javonte Williams hip flexor injury. He's questionable. Might miss this week, might not, who knows. Yeah, thank you for that. Fix there done. Kenny Pickett has a bone bruise in his knee and, as I joked with my co-host prior to the show, he has a bone bruise in his ego, because that Often sucks like really bad. That team is so brutal a watch I can't believe it's still happening. He's questionable for this week. He's questioning a lot of things in his life, but that is that's where we stand with Kenny Pickett and then his teammate, pat Friar, muth hamstring. Two to three weeks Sounds like. Is the is the time frame there, but Nothing, nothing too big. Fortunately we're. We're not. We didn't break anyone's legs or Lose any major ligaments. I think it was an oddly okay week. I'm scared to say that because I feel like now something's really bad. It's gonna happen, but yeah, winter is coming for sure.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, winter is coming.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, so far so good. So let's uh, let's try to get out of here Of the sad boys leaves before you know, something major happens here. Dylan, kick off this next, this next segment.

Speaker 2:

So this next segment is wherever usually would go over trades, but there were no trades to be had. I will say that I am in the market for a quarterback. So if anyone wants to, maybe part ways with a second or third QB on your team, you know, just send some offers my way, I'll send some offers your way. Let's see if we can make a deal, you know. So that's where we are with the trades. I don't know if, if, connor, you have any need for anything. I feel like your team is kind of rocking at the moment. Now I'm good. Thanks though, yeah, except for Eli Mitchell, but you can't have him yet. I'm just kidding. And then one more thing, with Just some commission or talk.

Speaker 2:

Something did come to my attention on Sunday. We had, you know, a quarterback kind of get ruled out in pregame warm-ups ouch. It was a tough situation. It happened at like around 12 30, so it was a late injury report hit and unfortunately know the owner missed out on on seeing that notification and Let me know, and was was hoping that he could get his, his backup, in. Anyway, it was kind of an unprecedented situation. So so I Did what I thought was best in the moment and kind of left it out To his opponent who declined to allow him to have the quarterback. This, this was team Cronus and I'm on Ross St Brown, I'll just go out and and say it. They it ended up not mattering because Mac Jones put up 1.6 fantasy points and somehow did not end up on the bad boy list. I guess because we just expected it and the rest of the team kind of did similar.

Speaker 2:

You know tragic stuff there, but I think in the future the best way to handle situations like that is if you're in a crunch and you know you're not gonna be able to look at your lineup before One o'clock, like you got something going on between that 11, 30 and 1 pm Window where we usually find out about. You know the who's in, who's out, the inactives, the actives Just text me, just be like hey, I'm not gonna be around for this window. I got blah, blah, blah to do. Could you just have this guy as my backup if my questionable player is ruled out? And that can also go for the late games too, because the late games happen between three, three thirty, like those. Those come out around that two thirty three o'clock time period for the 425 and 330, 25 and 4 for a clock game, so just text me who you would like is your backup guy.

Speaker 2:

I will put that guy in, and I think that will be the best way to handle situations like this in the future. Thankfully, this time it wouldn't have mattered, but just some housekeeping. It's funny like there's a new thing that pops up every year that we like to just address, and so that's the. That's the situation here, and so, yeah, we again. I hope everyone is enjoying this fantasy season, and that will end this talk from your favorite neighborhood, commissioner.

Speaker 1:

Everyone boo him. All right, we'll move on to our panic. Panic there was a fire, please help me, god. Section. It's just your typical Bengals and Giants talk here. Both of these teams look Absolutely atrocious.

Speaker 1:

I'm more worried about the Bengals because you drafted them higher. Joe burrow has not been doing it for you. Jamar Chase has had one good week to Higgins has had one good week and that's it. That's all you're getting out of that Bengals team. I worry For the future. I am hopeful that it gets better, but I don't believe that that is coming for you.

Speaker 1:

So I am sorry if I took Joe burrow actually very early in a league Probably fourth or fifth round, really on. You know I don't splurge on quarterbacks early usually, but this one I went for it. I Very much regretted. Right now it's killing me so far. So apologies to all the the Bengals owners out there and the Giants. I just put them on here because I mean, jesus, just watch the game. It's awful.

Speaker 1:

He didn't draft them high unless you have seguan and even if you're a seguan owner, I'm scared about them a Bringing him back and putting him behind that offensive line and be when he is behind that offensive line getting any sort of you know boom runs out of that. I can't imagine him Actually hitting any holes based off of that offensive line play so far. So yeah, if you did draft seguan Barkley, I'm real nervous. He's an incredibly talented dude behind a very inept offensive line and offense, so Not great. I am sorry to panic about these teams. I've been very hopeful the last couple weeks With this panic section, but this is the first time I'm like, yeah, this might be the. This might be the time to cut bait, make a trade or, if you really believe, hold on and Wait for the wait for the storm. It's gonna be a rough couple weeks going forward. Dylan, do you have Any more panic to add?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I've been panicking about the Bengals so it's like this is just what it's gonna be like this season for the Bengals. I think you got to get used to Benching Joe burrow. I am so sorry, joe, because you were one click away from Lamar Jackson and I hate to bring it up again, but it just keeps popping into my head and so I, if you don't want to even start your team for the rest of the season, I won't even blame you because, yeah, it's, that is just Urg. So With the Giants, I think better days are ahead for them. I really do.

Speaker 2:

I think, with say Kwong coming back, I think Jones is still a decent quarterback. Like he can make things happen with his legs. I would still feel good about Roastery Barkley. I think Jones is definitely a match-up play at this point. He's not gonna be a guy who you plug and play For this season. Better Days are ahead, like I think we were saying, or we were about to say with the guests that comes on later that this is Definitely a team, that this is definitely a team that you don't. You don't want to Really be too much invested in at the moment. But if there's anyone I would be okay with having it's say Kwame Barclay. So I still feel good about him. I'm not gonna panic yet about Barclay.

Speaker 1:

Hey man, good on you. I, just after seeing the play from that offensive line, like how can you be confident With, say, kwame back? I mean I think say go on to a fantastic runner he Does sometimes try to hit the home runs and like stay patient behind a line and it's like almost like nausea hairs in the Steelers. It's like it's just not the right fit right now, like there's no holes to be opened up. You have to like hit it right away or you will not gain any yards. So I just I I've nervous about especially while he's injured too. I don't want him to get hurt again In any major way because he's too good to lose to silly knee injuries this early on his career. So little nervous about that, but I like your optimism. I hope that you're right. I fear that you're wrong.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of you being wrong, let's go to our matchup predictions. You had a worse week than me, but only by one. You were at 12 and 12 on the air, casual 50%, and I am 11 and 13, slowly but surely catching up to you after my oh and six. Start let's. Let's hit it right away. I'm starting this in the order of how it shows up on my app. So of course it starts with my team, with DK. Have it your way versus Mark's was right.

Speaker 1:

I Do hit the the by week blues this week. I am singing it, I am playing it, I am feeling it. It's not ideal but I am happy that I am going up against a very much slumping. Marks is right For this by week. I still have a couple moves to make here. I possibly have Jonathan Taylor coming off of IR or the PUP list, sorry, so I Might possibly have a better lineup than I do now. I'm taking myself just because Things have been working out so far this season and I'm writing that high.

Speaker 1:

You know nothing against my opponent. Marks is right. He does have Joe Burrow up against Arizona, who should be a decent play, but again he's been struggling recently. I I'm really nervous about Brian Robinson junior against Chicago. I think he. I think that guy's gonna eat against them. Steph dig is against the Jags in the London game. Think it's a good play. Kelsey against Minnesota. I'm up against it Like I do think that I have a Good chance of losing, but in good faith I have to take my own team. Dylan, tell me why I'm wrong.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, I'm glad you're seeing this from a real realistic point of view, because All the things you said, plus McCaffrey going up against Dallas, is a really tough assignment, as good as McCaffrey has been. I mean, instead of four touchdowns you might be looking at one.

Speaker 3:

So I don't know if you can, you can handle that, just getting a single touchdown.

Speaker 2:

Mccaffrey. And then my old Sanders, and then my old Sanders I already saying the mile Sanders blues. And he's going up against Detroit who a couple weeks ago shut down Bijan Robinson, which is very hard to do and so Not, not good. Not good for for miles Sanders. Wait is, is he actually playing to? Wow, I felt like the Panthers just played Detroit, but I guess they play him this week. And then I Mean you're starting Dobbs and Michael Thomas, which I like the Dobbs play, but You're looking at Stefan digs on the other side, so that's gonna be really tough to Be.

Speaker 2:

And then DeAndre Hopkins he's you know not been good, but against Indianapolis that's a secondary you can exploit. So another good matchup for Joe. Yeah, I'm taking Marx was right to get their first win here.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's fine, I get it, I'm. I'm almost with you. I almost picked against myself, but I have to, in good faith, take myself here. You're right, miles Sanders scares the living daylights out of me. I don't love the play. There's, there's moves to be made. This will look very different come Sunday, thursday, monday, all the days Next up in our magic predictions Parsons of interest versus the newly named Kai Renaissance football club.

Speaker 1:

Dylan, it seems like we agree here. The Kai Renaissance football club Is looking like the play this week. The running back depth gets Exposed here for Parsons of interest. He did trade away Breeze Hall for Tyler Lockett and Now has Zach Charbonnet on a bye week. So Isaiah Pacheco, who was fantastic last week, is his running back, but on his bench is Antonio Gibson and Roshan Johnson. So that's those are his only plays this week in the running back position.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if there's enough to make up for that. As well. You know as much as AJ Brown and Tyree Kill are great, and that fantastic pick of Cole Comet and Justin Fields. That stack was awesome last week. Man, it's only you saw that coming. I Still have to go with Kai Renaissance football. Lamar Jackson against a pitiful Pittsburgh defense. So far. Kyron Williams, who is the running back for on the year Against Philly, which is not a deal, but I mean I can't go against him now I. Garrett Wilson against a pitiful Denver defense, eagle Collins, who has been wide-ceiver one over there. I just, I believe in this, in this Kai Renaissance team, the Renaissance man of a team. Dylan, why do you agree with me?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the comeback is real Renaissance, but there's just not a lot of moves that could be made on the Parsons of interest side. It's tough matchups all around and you got AJ Brown going up against Los Angeles, you got Courtney Sutton against New York. Even the Dallas Cowboys have kind of been their bread and butter here, living up to the team name. They're going up against San Francisco. In San Francisco they're going to give up points and so that defense is not gonna get you 28 or 20 something points that you're kind of used to seeing out of them. So there's a couple moves they can make here. That would improve the running back room possibly, but Overall you're also looking at lock it on a buy. I just don't see it happening. I think Kyranis on steamrolls Parsons of interest this week.

Speaker 1:

I'm so glad you finally brought up defense as a factor in these matchups. I agree I think that New Orleans against New England Is a huge play against, you know, Dallas in San Francisco. Think Dallas gets a little bit of the business this week. You know tiny bit exposed for the number one defense that they are.

Speaker 1:

But you know, We'll see, but I do. I do think that that it comes down to defense in these kinds of matchups. We now have next the G pause, who have fallen and hopefully can get up this week to go against Bijan mustard. I do think the money have fallen. I Again.

Speaker 1:

But the buy week is coming up. It's like the depth is exposed so much this early on to you know it were so. It was it week five and we're already I mean, all three of my wide receivers are out this week which the G pause have a starting running back out, A starting running back out and a starting wide receiver out with Austin Eckler Hurt and on a buy. So yeah, I just just based on that alone, I think you win. Based off of just having people available. You just you have your starting lineup. You don't have anyone on buy yet. You win this week. You will see the reckoning Moving forward. But this week you get lucky. You get a hot team In a bad spot. So you win this week. But watch out going forward because it's been disappointing so far, Dylan.

Speaker 2:

But I'll let you make your case okay, well, obviously I agree with you, but I think it's gonna be a little bit tougher than you imagine, because you know we still got some good matchups here, with Jacoby Myers going up against Green Bay Even I know you've been hating on him. But even AJ Dylan, I don't like those Monday night games, you know. You just never know, so I don't know. Stranger things have happened. I need this has got to be the week where Bijon finally like score some touchdowns for me because he's been doing everything else. So I need him to hit pay dirt against Houston, because everywhere else I got some tough matchups.

Speaker 2:

I mean, lawrence against Buffalo is gonna be tough. I would love for an alive a bounce back against New England, but that's a tough secondary, that's a tough defense in general. Coming off a beat down against Dallas, they're gonna be motivated, you know. And then Mark Andrews he's still I have the advantage at tight end. So I like that a lot, but Not not like the smashiest matchup there. I Think this could be closer than you would imagine. The buys might up, might end up saving me at the end. But I gotta tell you my team is a bit real in at the moment. So, again, like we need to. We need to pour some more mustard on this thing and get crackin and end up with a win this week.

Speaker 1:

I think I think you're Underselling your New Orleans matchups here. This New England defense is a shelf itself. All of their corners are hurt. Everyone, their entire defense, it seems like, is hurt at this moment. So I think, especially this week, your New Orleans plays are there's smashes. I think a lot of a is good. I think Khmer is great, so I'm curious how it works out here. But I think Going up against teams like New England and Pittsburgh Is going to be beneficial for you. Right now I'm worried about Buffalo, like you said, with your Trevor Lawrence Travis ETN in Buffalo. No, I'm sorry they're not in Buffalo. Buffalo's home in the London it's really a home game why?

Speaker 2:

for Jacksonville? Yeah, why is there.

Speaker 1:

The Jacksonville Jaguar is not home, the home team for this game. That makes no sense. But yeah, I just. I think your New Orleans plays actually are the difference here. But let's move on to I'm on top of the world versus bad grams. Looks like we are Hand-in-hand here again, dylan. This is another just it's a bi-week problem. Uh, bad grams has Justin Herbert on the by.

Speaker 1:

There is a possibility here, though I was looking at this earlier and I'm I Want to see it come to fruition if possible. I would love if Frank could start all three Rams wide receivers In his wide receiver spots and his flex as Cooper cup comes back off of the pup list. Uh, because it could be. Yeah, cooper cup, pukatakua and to, to, to Awell, over the flex there. It's possible. I wish I, I want him and Dan to talk about a trade for Matt Stafford, because this, this, this, has an all-time Uh possibility of being one of the funniest teams that will still win Um at times, but I don't think that winning happens this week. I think I'm on top of the world continues his winning streak after last week. I think he's back on the train.

Speaker 1:

You have Derek Henry at Indianapolis. Um Tua against the giants could be absolute, like bloodbath, like I don't even know if they play to, or, I'm sorry, tyreek in like the second half of this game. Damian Pierce against Atlanta Don't love it, but it's possible to be a decent matchup. And then I want to run out of st Brown against Carolina. Uh, smash play, um. He doesn't even have a defense in right now and he is protected. The win, um I. I just think that this is a foregone conclusion, mostly on buys. But you know, that's that. That's my two cents.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, honestly, shout out to, I'm on top of the world for benching their defense, with a lead going into Monday night. I mean, the defense would have scored a crazy Amount of points. They put up like a lot of fantasy points, so you kind of missed out on that. Can we actually?

Speaker 1:

kind of backfire. Can we talk about this?

Speaker 2:

though, because like this is like a.

Speaker 1:

This is there's a. A points for tiebreaker here at.

Speaker 2:

Stink there, there there is.

Speaker 1:

at one point it goes head to head record, then points for right, but still, I mean, like you imagine, like it's not likely, but imagine it gets to that. And because you benched your defense that scored 24 and a half freaking points one week, you lose out on a points four because you just didn't play a position. Um, I, I, just I, you know I get taking off a defense based off of, uh, negative points there, but I think that matchup was already kind of out of reach. That couldn't have gotten that bad.

Speaker 2:

They would have needed to negative 30. Right.

Speaker 1:

So again I I just want to talk about that real quick because I thought that was really interesting of a tactic when it was probably going to be a positive or what so so just remember that points four is A factor going forward, maybe not a big one, but enough that we should think about playing all of our players Uh, just, but at the same time.

Speaker 2:

I like that. He was just like I'm not even gonna, I win automatically just by benching my deep, because if it was a closer matchup, I like, I like the example, though Like it's almost like a tip of the week, because if it's a closer matchup, then it does make a lot of sense to bench like if it's a three-point game, then it's like that's a genius move.

Speaker 1:

Of course, I agree and I very much agree with that. I think that you should, in that matchup like you're up by one or two and you have a defense playing like, yeah, totally bench your defense. But when you're up by that much and bench your defense, the the play for me is like it's just a shot. You know you could, even if you got a couple negative points, like you're not going to lose, but at least you took a chance on getting more points for the season. So yeah, in a close batch of, of course, I agree with you like bench your defense if there's, if that means a guaranteed win. But this, this scenario was odd and not not typical, but I agree with you there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I would also agree with you that I'm on top of the world, takes this. I think they just have the upper hand on all of these positions at the moment, especially with Herbert being gone. And, yeah, that Henry versus Indianapolis play along with the, even the pitman versus Tennessee, because that could, low key, be kind of a high score in a fair between those two teams. So, um, I like I'm on top of the world to take the dub this week nice.

Speaker 1:

Um, next matchup we have here is team cronus versus saint stevenson. Uh, this one again is odd, just because you know we have watson, who's most likely out for this week, and Even if he is, he has mac jones who scored 1.7 points last week on the bench up against the warlands. Um, you know, david mcgummery against caroline as a smash play just in jefferson's against canc City is tough but a good play. Um, I just, I just think that saint stevenson gets their first win this week. Finally, um, pat mahomes against minnesota. I can kind of see that becoming A little bit of a shootout, especially after kind of a little bit of an embarrassing week against the jets last week.

Speaker 1:

Um, I still believe in jimmyer gibbs role in this team on the droid lions, but Against carolina all things are possible. Um, or mandra stevenson out for me. Uh, jamar chase, maybe a bounce back week against arizona, that'd be great. Um, devon a chain, devon a chan I'm sorry, devon, I didn't mean to Disrespect you like that. Uh, I think that's a smash play against giants. I think that again, he it could be a top five running back this week At his flex position. I just think this is this is all. Saint stevenson finally, finally, gets over the hump here. These looks towards the playoffs as they get their first win. Dylan, I saw oh wow, you came back. I saw you move oh, oh, he's going back. Never mind, why do you disagree with me?

Speaker 2:

I disagree with you. I think once he puts in a different quarterback here, you're gonna see this percentage move a little bit. Devon montgomery has been absurdly good in the red zone and, yeah, you're right, jimmyer gibbs Probably gonna score some points against carolina, but I don't think he's gonna score any touchdowns. They're gonna get into the red zone against carolina and montgomery is gonna be the guy who scores all those. You know the most valuable points you can have in our scoring system. Joe mixon same thing against arizona. Huge smash play for me, the those two running backs alone. And then tallyer algear versus houston.

Speaker 2:

I would love to see bijon get all of his and out and he has been. He's been out snapping algear a lot since week one. But we also haven't seen atlanta in the red zone much since week one. So if they do get there, maybe algear is the red zone back, because that could be another huge play for team cronis. Uh, and then all he needs is a quarterback to kind of put up some double-digit points and I think he Keeps these wins going and st Stephens and is shut out for another week. Um it again. He's got jesson jefferson Go into. So that beats out in my book jamar chase and debo. I think beats out brandon iook, so the matchups Are in team cronis's favor. I think he delivers.

Speaker 1:

They do share, like a lot of like Teams it. This is gonna be a fun one to watch, at least, uh.

Speaker 1:

I just agree with you and you agree with me twice the last five minutes and I'm so intrigued as to how you switched both times. But it's all right, we'll see next week. Um last, and certainly not least, is cooking their ass versus kirky man's dead. A fun matchup, to say. Um man, this one was again kind of hard to predict. Don't really know. I'm still kind of torn here. Again, bi-weeks are a problem here. We are missing a couple of starters on at least one side here. But I'm going with Kirk E Mann's dead Cousins. I don't love the Kansas City matchup but there is a chance of just an absolute shootout, just an old Western kind of vibe there.

Speaker 1:

Josh Jacobs against Green Bay Packers. He finally came to last week. He has arrived as a number one running back Mostured against the Giants. It's a big one there. Yeah, I guess I mainly picked him because Saquon Barkley on the other side. I just don't think that Saquon is either going to A-play or if he does play, they're going because of Miami. They're going to get freaking crushed. There's not a game script for Saquon Barkley unless this is close in some way, and I just really don't see that happening. James Connor against Cincinnati could be the better play than Saquon. So that's the only saving grace there. Cd Lam again. San Francisco Calvin really against Buffalo. It's just hard to say that these guys can have any kind of big games. I think this team is limited in terms of ceiling. I think Josh Allen has a good week, but beyond that it's hard to say that these guys can put up 15, 20 points a piece. I think everyone's capped out there. So that's at least how I'm viewing this matchup. So Kirkman's dead for me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I see it in a similar light because Bayweaks have hit cooking their ass a little bit. They lost K-9. That's a big hit. Kirkman's has the better running back plays at the moment. I'm just always going to lean, probably, towards the stronger running backs, so I'm going to take Kirkman's to maybe not have an easy win this week, but to get the win over a really really good cook and dare ass team.

Speaker 1:

Nice, yep, those are our matchup predictions. We will report back to you next week with the winners of it. And that brings us to the tip of the week, the final segment of this show. You've heard it a thousand times, but Bayweaks begin, which means that Bayweaks will continue to happen. So start to take a look ahead as to what's going on. You know, like I had a pretty huge hit this week, all three of my starting wide receivers are out. Fortunately, my bench is okay enough to plug in. But, like, maybe I should have picked up another wide receiver, like traded for one last week, to kind of keep things float here.

Speaker 1:

But if you're not like me and you're not getting absolutely trounced this week by Bayweaks, just take a look ahead. Do yourself a favor. Maybe stagger them a little more. Maybe, if you're like leaning 60, 40 on a trade, look at when their biweek is. Maybe you realize it works better for you schedule wise. It's hard to say there. Also, the London game is again happening this week. So, 930 Sunday. Have your lineup set up when you go to bed Saturday, because injury reports will come out at 8am Eastern standard time. So be aware of what's going on there, dylan. Any further tips of the week?

Speaker 2:

No, that's great. Just a reminder. Yeah, if it does happen to be that you have a questionable guy and you know that you're not going to be around for the kickoff or what have you just send me a text. I can easily switch in your backup guy. Make things easy. Yeah, you know, let's make things as easy as possible on ourselves here in this fun game we play. But yeah, that's about it. I think we have a guest waiting in the Wains now that will switch to right now.

Speaker 1:

Wow, I did not know about this. All right, let's get to our apparently special guests that Dylan has here. Oh, interesting. Okay, and welcome to your favorite segment of this podcast, which is the guest interview, and we have with us the GPOS. The GPOS say hello to the international listeners.

Speaker 3:

Hello international listeners all over the world.

Speaker 1:

Thank you. They deserve all the respect because they're the ones that keep us going every week. So yeah, gpos, you know, like I said, this was a kind of a last minute call by my co-host, dylan, to have this interview.

Speaker 3:

So it's wonderful.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to. Yeah, it was an audible, but maybe not on his team, so not great. I wanted to ask you this question how is it to fall from grace so hard? Did it hurt when you fell from heaven this past weekend?

Speaker 3:

It hurts Nice. Yeah, it was one of those Sundays that didn't work out on a few different things, Different levels. Honestly, I feel I felt like Kevin McCarthy feels right now.

Speaker 1:

You got hurt by your own team. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

You know I still feel good about my team. I need Eckler back. We had a rough week, you know, but that's to be expected through the course of the season. But at least I'm like, I'm in the hunt. I mean, I'll take that. If somebody told me I was going to be three and one at this point, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you started off real hot and you put yourself in a good position that you can even take a couple of brutal losses, like this past week, and still have a chance going forward. You know, because this is a short season you know we have a short regular season here and fancy football you got a lot of great guys waiting in the wings. You got Terry McLauren waiting there for you, austin Eckler will come back at some point, adam Thielen has been, you know, a pretty decent wide receiver, so you got guys on the bench there that you can plug and play. But, yeah, just no one showed up for you this week, like you said in many ways, both on your fantasy team and on your actual team. So I apologize for the disappointment this week, but I do want to have your son ask you the more hard hitting questions here, as this was his call. How do you get to lead this interview, dylan?

Speaker 2:

Oh, OK. Well, I guess my biggest hard hitting question is what is your favorite snack to have while watching football on a Sunday?

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's, it's what? Without a doubt, it's chips and salsa.

Speaker 2:

OK, very, very vanilla answer right there.

Speaker 1:

I think is actually the proper answer.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I guess my follow up question would be did you throw the chips and salsa on Monday night at the screen when Daniel Jones threw that pick six?

Speaker 3:

You know it was interesting. I was, I was watching the game with the Manning Brothers. It's so interesting. You know what an interesting way to watch a game and have the perspective of two guys who obviously had success in the NFL. But there it's really interesting. And then I have to switch to the regular game. But it was rough. I mean, going into this year. I mean our giants really looked like they were trending in the right direction. They picked up some really good acquisitions they drafted, and to see an offensive line perform offensively was incredible. I don't think I don't have. Do you guys agree? I mean I don't think I've ever seen an offensive line in the national football league perform like that.

Speaker 1:

It was offensive to say.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, 11 sacks was the total there.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and of course that was on dimes. You know the pick six on the goal line was definitely on dimes. But you know you can't blame the guy. You really can't even assess him with that type of offensive line. My goodness.

Speaker 2:

No, and are they dealing with a set of injuries that's ravaged this group, or is this just underperforming a group of players?

Speaker 3:

They have they, they have injuries, especially Thomas. Their best offensive player hasn't played since week one, I believe. But you know what. All teams deal with that and I really can't use that. You have to play better than that. So I give, I give a lot to Dumbbell. I mean he, I see his press conferences I watched on YouTube this morning and the guys like on me. I still think the guys are good coach. I take, I take the heat. You know my, my coaching staff is not prepared. And boy where they? On all cylinders, not only the offensive line, the defense was missing tackles, the special teams couldn't catch the ball on punts, it was they were, they were just misfiring on all cylinders. That's all I can say. And let's go Rangers.

Speaker 1:

That's a great transition to actually, you know, just a better time in your life going forward. Glenn, yeah, that muffbunt was really just the salt in the wound of the game yesterday. That was just how. It's just so pathetic to watch. And the fact, going back to Dave all here, I'm curious. He was so, so visibly upset, obviously with with Daniel Dimes play. But, like you said, you kind of can't blame the guy half the time for his offensive line. So is he do as a Giants fan or do you believe that he is done with Mr Daniel Dimes or is he just frustrated overall with the team and he's maybe displaying that towards Danny, or you like to say, is he? Is he out on him?

Speaker 3:

No, I think he's all in on that. I think he gets, he realizes that and he keeps on saying it's a failure from the coaching staff. Every single coaching position, offense defense, special teams it's a failure from the coaching staff all the way down. And what else are they going to say? I mean, they said we still have the personnel. I believe in them. You know what coaches will say, but I even credit. He's not giving any excuses, he's taking the bullet and it doesn't get any easier next week with who they play the Dolphins.

Speaker 2:

Yes, that's, that's correct. They play the Dolphins who are coming off a pretty big smackdown, so you know that they're. They're ready to drop a 70, another 70 piece on someone's head, yeah exactly.

Speaker 3:

So well, what can we say? You know it's, it's a pretty, pretty devastating year because we were expect giant fans were expecting pretty decent things from from this team this year.

Speaker 2:

But and Barclays been hurt again for a couple games. I mean not not nearly as bad as it has been in the past, but we lost him and that shows in the running game. I mean there's a pretty drastic difference between having Rita back there and then having Barclay, who can make a lot of things happen with a bad offensive line, kind of you know. You have more respect for Barclay actually after seeing some of the performances lately that he's been able to do what what he does with that offensive line. So I mean, it's still a long season. They're one in three. It's a tough division though, so they got to start piling up the winds pretty fast to even stay in the division race, because you got the Eagles, who are undefeated, you have the Cowboys, whose defense is looking like the best in the league, and then you have the commanders, who are playing pretty well too and keeping up with with every team they play with. So it's it's not a good place for the Giants to be right now.

Speaker 3:

No, I agree. I agree. I'm starting to start to look at draft choices for the Giants, start looking at college players.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and you know, I was talking briefly with my brother, Connor.

Speaker 1:

And thanks for saying that so nice.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, my, my, my blood brother, not my co-host brother. Oh no, and, and he's looking at the USC quarterback. That's who he wants, so I think he's out on Daniel Jones. He'll have to come on the podcast at one point and speak for himself.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm still in on that. I'm still in.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so you're you're looking for maybe another offensive lineman, or are you looking for a defensive player, maybe in the draft? What's your biggest team need at the moment?

Speaker 3:

Well, I think if I was the head coach, I would take the entire offensive line and put them on the practice squad and bring my entire practice squad in and put a whole new offensive line. They couldn't do any worse. So you really do have to give Danny Dimes a chance with a good offensive. I don't think he's ever played with one like an above average offensive line, so I'm not in. But as far as the draft goes, you know, as an impact player, really, really it doesn't matter if you get it. As we know, in the fantasy league all positions are pretty critical. So if you just get an impact player and I don't believe do you guys know the name of their general manager.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we'll have to look that one up right here cuz Jamie, can you pull them up quick?

Speaker 3:

Sorry, it's Joe, shane, josh and the general manager of me and I'm telling guy is I mean he has not had a good run so far Because they've had some good draft choices in the last two, three years. So Anyway, it's um. Can we get off this depressing topic and move on to him?

Speaker 2:

Well, I was about to say the GPIs, this upcoming week, face off against the struggling and slumping Bijan mustard, oh, or who are in need of, oh, of some relish, you know we need we need we need something going on here.

Speaker 2:

So I'm just looking at our matchup real quick and it's gonna be a tough one for you this week because you're dealing with You're dealing with some buys. It's the first bye week coming up here in week five and you know You're gonna be without Eklur, who's on a bye, and You're also gonna be without Cooper and Rashad white. So those are three impact players, as you will say, going off against my team who's lucky enough to not hit the buy bug yet. So it's gonna be. I think it's gonna be another Tough one for you. What's your, what's your outlook? Have you looked at any of the matchups yet? Have you even started thinking about this yet? Are you, are you no, giving your, your guys a well-deserved little little break here? You know they've they've worked really hard these first four weeks to put together three wins out of four for you.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, they have. I've Rested and I'm talking to my GM and we haven't made any decisions that of course we have to. We have to put the Buy people on the bench.

Speaker 2:

So I'm gonna start them. You can start them if you want. I won't have any.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I I honestly haven't really looked at it too hard and right now I'm I'm a little worried about but but on the bright side, have an Eklur on a bye week Means I get him, you know, because he might have sat out anyway. So there's, there's some some, some good news out of it a little bit, but yeah, it's gonna be. It's gonna be a rough one for me to maneuver, but you know what I'll do my best after I consult with my GM.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm curious that you just brought up the GM twice now. Is there, is there a secret I don't know, puppeteer, behind the scenes that's putting together such a winning season? I mean, I haven't seen Like a team of this type of caliber and direction of yours ever, and so on. The last team that's kind of reminded me of this was the long ago Legendary shady sassafras, but there's no way that you know that she could have anything to do with with with your team here, right is that? I Assume, when you talk about GM, you're talking about just purely that other side of you that you tap into to to get the best out of your players.

Speaker 3:

Correct, it's my alter ego. Yes, exactly what it is, and I'm using it more this year, and I believe that's why I've had more success.

Speaker 1:

That's right. The okay report is not up to date here with Austin Eckler, so that makes sense that shady sassafras has no hand in this because she wouldn't have Drafted Austin Eckler based on the bootlet report.

Speaker 3:

So Exactly no, maybe.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, glenn, your depth is. He's gonna be trying this week. I'm curious the moves you make. You have a couple of options here. I'm nervous about your running backs. You might have to maybe make a couple of desperation moves in the waiver wire or I treat if you want to make it through this week. But I Just put that.

Speaker 3:

I I do have breeder on my bench.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's, I have breeder, that's alright.

Speaker 3:

You have breeder wait, the giant running back.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I do, I'm looking at you, you right well, oh, bright well yeah, that's good.

Speaker 1:

For nine yards against the Seahawks, all right.

Speaker 3:

Yes, so yeah, it's gonna be, but I'm gonna scrap and I'm gonna continue to to hopefully Keep the momentum going and, with him, the positive wins this year. My goal I have never made the playoffs and that is my goal this year. Once you get there, you never know what's gonna happen, right.

Speaker 1:

We'll pray for you.

Speaker 2:

And that's that's true. Well, I mean, I'm not this week, but every other week the Be praying for your fantasy football team to make the fantasy playoffs here. Well, thank you, g pause, for taking your the time out of your, out of your precious Tuesday night to be with us. Really appreciate it. You know, I will say that I have a lot of respect for your team this year, so I'm not taking this week for granted either, and it's gonna be a tough battle to get past you. I mean you, you've got some really Really good players on this roster that have been, you know, getting it done for you, getting you to three wins. So congratulations on the hot start and May you keep it up.

Speaker 3:

Well, thank you guys, keep the podcast going. It's, it's, it's a. It's something that I look forward to in the car listening to, especially the the segments when you guys do what what is it called? When you evaluate all the teams power ranking yeah, Dylan's power rankings. And everything else. You guys have great chemistry. Keep it up, boys.

Speaker 2:

Thank you that's the best compliment you can give Podcasters that you'll enjoy listening to them in your car, because that's that's really where, where the, where the money's made there nice place to it. Oh yeah, alright. Well, connor, you want to. You want to give us the old goodbye.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, cheers, g pause, try everyone.

Speaker 3:

Goodbye, everyone, you.
