Speaker 1:

I am good to go.

Speaker 2:

Hello everyone and welcome to Dear Mr Fantasy, where we bring you the hard-hitting news about a league you've probably never heard about nor will ever care about. My name is Connor and with me, as always, is my co-host, daddy Dill. How you doing today, daddy Dill?

Speaker 1:

What up, yo? That reminds me the last time we had this conversation, you introduced yourself as Garfield and so I was messing around with this new AI that prints out a transcript of your podcast and it also gives you like a summary like that you can put out as like the description of your pod. It's like the two hosts of the podcast, garfield and Dill, and the AI thought that your name was actually Garfield, which I thought was hilarious.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I guess I kind of tripped it off saying you can call me Garfield and it just took that and ran.

Speaker 1:

I love it.

Speaker 2:

We're doomed. Speaking of doomed, let's get to our matchup winners, starting with the blowouts. Just a bad hair appointment for these ladies. We have the G-Paws absolutely crushing, that's just right. 123 to 90. We have Kirking Man's dead getting the easy win over Amon Top of the World. Another 123, really 124 when you round up to 80. And then DK Havich, your way again, has it his way with Parsons of little to no interest 117 to 98. Close, but no cigar we have. Love is a battlefield. Takes down the Bijan mustard 97 to 85. We have the undefeated team Cronus taking down cooking their ass. Love saying that. Still 104 to 93.

Speaker 2:

And finally the West Fair TV audio barn burner of the week. This was a kind of a funny barn burner as it didn't seem close in the beginning. And then we had a little bit of a standoff on this Monday night game. It was really Jamar Chase versus T Higgins, and if T Higgins could catch the ball maybe we're looking at a different outcome here. But we have bad Gramps taken down St Stevenson 95.5 to 86.8. Tough week for St Stevenson. There really, really was was holding out hope for him. We were in the third quarter. We were about to point off, even with a pretty gnarly game from from T Higgins. That Bengals team did not look very good and T Higgins comes out of the game. Jamar Chase makes a couple of good plays and now we have a almost what looks like a lopsided win, but it was pretty close. Were you, were you keeping an eye on this game?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so, um so, so we're on the same page. Um, St Stevenson has Jamar Chase right, so he's getting all the. Jamar Chase points and stuff. Frank doesn't have T Higgins.

Speaker 2:

What am I talking about, dude? I'm talking about our other league. Wow, that's the one.

Speaker 1:

I was into.

Speaker 2:

I had T Higgins and the Carousel and Jamar Chase. It's all good.

Speaker 1:

The same thing applies, though, because I'm thinking, okay, if T Higgins catches more balls, that means less points for Jamar Chase. Well, t Higgins caught nothing, which also hurt me in a league too, in Dugs League. So, doug, if you're listening to this, yeah, um, it was a. It was a rough one for Higgins. But so Jamar Chase is going off and St Stevenson has the lead going late into the fourth quarter, into the last drive of the Rams possession. He has the lead into a big throw from Maddie Stafford to Puka Nukua at like the four yard line with like a minute left. We're kind of talking about garbage time. There's still an outside chance, right Onside kick, blah, blah, blah.

Speaker 1:

So the Rams are still trying to win the game at this point, and that's what does it, because by then you know, oh, the bangles, if they get the ball back, they're not throwing the ball. The only, actually the only hope that moment was probably onside kick recovery for the Rams, and somehow they tie up the game and we go to overtime, right, that's the only way that St Stevenson wins. So it kind of came down to that last, weird, that last drive by the Rams the, the play, and then the two, two out well. Touchdown in the corner of the end zone sealed the deal and got Frank with that double digit win. But at one point the probability meter was 98% to St Stevenson and then flipped all the way to 98% for bad Gramps in a matter of one play, which was hilarious ESPN probability meter doing its thing. So, yeah, just to. Obviously we apologize for this very unprofessional start to, especially to our international listeners, but thankfully I'm here to to come in and kind of clear things up.

Speaker 2:

We got to fire the producers on this. We got to vet these notes before this. Dude I was. I was so locked into our diehards matchup last night, me and Brandon going back and forth. I had T Higgins, he had Jamar Chase, I think I just I was going back and forth between both leagues and kind of forgot, yeah, frank is just locked in with with the Rams wide receivers, so did it did end up working out for him. But yeah, puka Nukua, you know, wasn't wasn't Cooper cup last night and he was saved by the two two out, well touchdown.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, dude, you're right, the ESPN, like prediction meter, is so mean. It really gives you all the hope in the world. You know you could be up 98% going to the matchup and it's like you could just lose it that night just because you know your player that's supposed to get 15 points gets five, you know. So I feel like they have to tweak that a little bit. Cause again, it, it seems mean Um gives you a lot of hope or it gives you no hope and you don't watch the game and then all of a sudden you know you're a winner there. But uh, yep, sorry to the international listeners about that one. I'm sure it's already confusing, as is and I only make it worse Everyone.

Speaker 2:

Alvin Camaro was, uh suspended for four weeks. I do too. Um, all right, let's get to our big boys. I'll be under the bad boys section this week, but our big boys this week, uh, we have uh quarterbacks, um couple of my guys here, the three top quarterbacks of the week, really all with the same amount of points Lamar Jackson, tua Tug of Iloha and Justin Herbert, um all with 28 points.

Speaker 2:

Uh, lamar looks like Lamar. He had a hundred rushing yards, two rushing TDs, 202 passing yards. That's vintage Lamar. We love to see it to a tongue of Iloha. That offense put up 70 points and a lot of it was in the run game, but of course he still had three internet passing yards and four passing touchdowns. And then Justin Herbert again was kind of in this crazy back and forth with Minnesota Because we kind of all predicted he had four hundred and five passing yards and three touchdowns. So, yeah, a big week from three guys that we were hoping to uh come out slinging. You know that again that that dolphins game was insane. We'll get to a couple of those guys later, but uh, dylan, I love your first guy here. It is a old faithful big red Andy Dalton, looking also vintage there, um, but he's just a little bit older than the Mar Jackson. Um, what did you love out of your, uh, out of your guy? Big red over there.

Speaker 1:

Uh, he was slinging it, making quick decisions, quick reads. It was good for Bryce Young to get a look at him and see, see how he, how he operates under center, because you know you're he's learning from a real great here in big red and um, and so I think it's going to do Bryce young a lot of good, uh to to sit back and watch um, probably for next week as well, and to see how it all operates against this. You know disposable Vikings defense, so he's definitely a streaming option. I would say I think that the Panthers, when they have um, I mean, I kind of hate to say it, but when they have a veteran under center, um it's actually they can deliver fantasy numbers, which they did this week with Thielen and Chark both putting up numbers.

Speaker 1:

Sanders found the end zone, um, and it all kind of came from Dalton, who was making all the right decisions. Um, he was accurate with the ball they couldn't hold on for the win in Seattle against uh. Are you well, definitely a better team? I would say so they, but they hunt in there for a while, which was great to see. And yeah, just, uh, I don't know it's, it's, it's not going to be something that's going to last forever.

Speaker 1:

Bryce young is going to come back in, if not next week, then the week after, and so those numbers might fluctuate, but you can see that the Panthers wide receivers can deliver, um, especially against defenses that are less threatening than a lot of the NFC South defenses, cause I do think the NFC South is underrated this year. Yeah, they're not going to be the the best division in football, but they've got some really good defenses in that division. Um, the saints, the bucks, those are respectable defenses, and so, uh, when you're going up against Seattle or Minnesota, which are more easier to throw the ball on, uh, I think that you know you can put some more faith into the Panthers fantasy players. Um, and so, yeah, I just I liked, I liked what I saw out of Andy, and and I liked it so much that I wanted to talk about him, so that's why he's out here.

Speaker 2:

That's a great explanation, dylan. Yeah, he made Adam Thielen look like a wide receiver one. You know, he just peppered him with targets. He looked absolutely fantastic. Makes your team look you know, competent and obviously you know you'll get Bryce Young back. He'll be okay, he's just young.

Speaker 1:

He's got to learn. We're not the worst 0-3 team.

Speaker 2:

That's for sure. No, you are not. That is a nice thing to say.

Speaker 1:

You know who is not 0-3 either is the Houston Texans, because they got to win off of CJ Stroud who was killing it and he set a record now First player in NFL history to throw for 900 yards and his first, I think, three career starts without an interception. So really impressive stuff that CJ Stroud is putting up. It's helping Nico Collins, it's helping Tate Dell become fantasy relevant. Like Stroud is looking like the most pro ready of these rookie quarterbacks Young is a work in progress, richardson needs to learn how to protect himself. And then Stroud is just out there kind of looking like he knows what he's doing.

Speaker 1:

And when we go back to that Ohio State Clemson game, which was, like I'm New Year's Eve, I think I'll never forget watching that game and seeing Stroud put Ohio State on his shoulders and just like, deliver ball after ball. And he's showing the same thing at the pro level and I think he deserves to be a big boy this week because he was a big boy and he's been a big boy for the last two weeks. Now let's see where it goes from here. He's not a guy who's rostered on any of the teams in our league right now, but he very well could be sometime soon. I mean, waivers are tonight as well, so who knows, maybe some team that's in need of quarterback picks him up. Maybe not, but you got to love what you're seeing out of CJ Stroud.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, he seems like a really safe play. Every week he's making these Houston receivers rosterable. I mean, some of the biggest pickups we've had have been Houston receivers, which is a pretty good core too when you think about it. But yeah, no, I love CJ Stroud, I love that Houston team. You know, dabico Ryans did a really great job with that team. He's not going to be the scapegoat like the coaches of past were for this team, so I'm glad that they're actually finally put it together. That defense is really feisty. I mean, they've picked in the top five, I think the last, I don't know five, six years. So they should be feisty. But yeah, I'm loving it, it's. Yeah, I'm sure he'll have a game or two where he looks like a rookie, but for right now he's solid. You know if you need to plug and play, you know this week or next week.

Speaker 1:

He's great, and that's the one. Caution is that you know that the rookie game is going to come eventually. He's not going to light it up every week like this. This doesn't happen. This is atypical. So be a little bit cautious here. And then I will say I accidentally said Ohio State versus Clemson is Ohio State versus Georgia in that game when CJ Stroud went off and almost beat the back to back champs. So very impressive CJ Stroud from what he's shown from that last game and college going into the pros. He hasn't played a bad game since and so yeah, just keep it up CJ, like killing it, and keep it up CJ Conner's mom, she's killing it as well.

Speaker 2:

I can't believe you. Don't just make such a stupid mistake like that. Dylan, get your facts right. Yeah, I would watch out for the next least. I mean you know I said plug and play these next couple of weeks, but he is playing Pittsburgh this next weekend. Pretty good defense. We'll see how they hold up against that defensive line. And you know, I mean the rest of the schedule doesn't look that bad. I mean they played New Orleans week six, tampa Bay week nine. It's not that bad. He's got a pretty decent schedule besides those two weeks. So he might be a, he might be a waiver pickup for someone this next, this next night.

Speaker 2:

But let's move on to the running backs. These are two running backs that were started in our league that will come into play in a little bit. Number one, who was actually number two on his team, was Raheem Mostert. He had 38.2 points, 82 rushing yards, 60 receiving yards and four total touchdowns. Again, he was the number two running back on his own team. Next I have Kenneth Walker here with 27.6 points. He had 97 rushing yards, 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns. And you know, again, these are two guys that were started in our league, which brings us to our next guest here, devon A Chan. That is his name. Apparently it is not A Chan, devon A Chan. He ends up being the number one running back of the week. He is now the I believe, the number four running back in our ancient standard scoring.

Speaker 2:

He came into this week with five rushing yards. He had one carry for five yards and is now the running back four. He had was it 202 yards on the ground, also had four touchdowns. He had 30 receiving yards. So yeah, two rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. He was on that sweet end of that no-look flip from to one of the cooler passes I've seen so far.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, this team is terrifying, dylan. I mean this, this run game is insane, I mean, and they don't even have Jeff Wilson back yet. He's supposed to be coming back week five. I don't know what the ceiling is for this team, but I don't know if we've even seen it yet. I mean, they just did take advantage of a God awful Denver Broncos team, but they look like a you know, a pretty, pretty serious Super Bowl contender here and it's because they got guys that are faster than the speed of light. I don't want to take too much of your time here, dylan, because this is, this is actually your big boy running back of the week. So let's hear, let's hear what you have to say about it. Go ahead.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so they're definitely a Super Bowl contender, there's no doubt about it. I want to know who the GM of the Dolphins is, because I was thinking about this today. Actually, because, going back to that trade for Tyree kill, that was the turning point in this whole organization. I think. Where they trade for Tyreek, I think that's the same year that they draft Tua and then from there, like this, all you know, everything really skyrockets for them. They bring in McDaniels.

Speaker 1:

Whoever is pulling the strings behind there definitely has a vision for what they're trying to do. And when it all comes together, when the when everyone's on the field healthy and this was actually even without waddle, which is scary but when it all comes together like this, yeah, you see that this team has an identity right, and that's always pundits are always looking for like what are the? What are the identity of each team? And certain and it's true to an extent, because certain teams have a defensive first identity right Other teams like to run the ball and then run, pass off a play action, and that's like how they where their bread and butter is, like the Sean McVeigh style. And then you have the Miami Dolphins who kind of like what you said, it's just a sprinters match, right. They just get all these really fast, skillful players out there. Their defense looks decent enough. I mean is is there any place where this could go wrong, barring injury? I don't think so, because they've done such a good job building this team and the MVP to me has to be whoever is the GM right now, because he's just put the right pieces in the right place, like to get to a and put him in this situation, like everyone knew that he was a good quarterback, but he wasn't this like once in a generation type prospect. We were looking at a guy who, who was, could be great, could not? I don't know. There's a lot of questions here, but then you put them into this situation and maybe let's just suppose that with another of his contemporaries, justin Fields, like you put. You put those into the that situation.

Speaker 1:

You can see where, when, when there's a vision, when, when things are put together in a way that you could see what they're trying to do and what they're trying to accomplish, the quarterback's going to be successful. The receivers, the running backs I mean heck Raheem Moser. He scored five touchdowns all of last year. He's up to seven or eight this year. So, yeah, it's just like kudos to the organization and then kudos to the coaching and obviously the players. It's an all-around success. But again, they started really hot last year. So I'm hoping they can continue this up because, like let's, I'm just hoping for no, no major injuries. People are gonna get hurt.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, waddle was out and they still overcame it and dropped 70 points. So it's crazy. 70 points is absurd. We all know that by now. But I think that was the most played NFL snippet was the 70, but surprisingly enough, that was like the second most played thing of the entire day because Taylor Swift attended the chiefs game. So the 70 points kind of like went nowhere. It's just funny that T-Swift still takes down a 70-point scoring game. Anyway, those are my thoughts, I guess in a manner I hope to your liking there, connor.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, if you had the under on 25 minutes until Taylor Swift was mentioned on this podcast, you can cash out now. Yeah, so the GM of the Dolphins is Chris Greer, who has been in the position since 2016. His brother's the GM of the San Jose Sharks. His dad was, like the director of personnel for the Patriots. I believe, like this is just a family of football guys. So, yeah, he's been there since 2016 and has obviously like done a great job building this team.

Speaker 2:

Like you said, like had a vision when they got Tyreek. They drafted Jalen Waddle, they drafted Devon H-Chon. It's gonna be so hard to get used to that Tuha. You know, obviously they had a whole thing last year with him. You know getting cussed three or four times very close together, and they stuck with them. You know they could have gone the Tom Brady route, as we all saw these last couple years, with all the trouble they got in. But yeah, they did a great job and this team is terrifying. It's like watching like an Olympic, like trial, every time they're on the field. They have now, I think, the best game this weekend. I think they play the Bills at one o'clock on Sunday. Like you have to tune into it. I'm gonna be at music festival, but I'm going to watch the game on my phone because of how awesome it's gonna be.

Speaker 1:

So I'll also be at a music festival, probably Nice, the Acapella Fest at Herd Park.

Speaker 2:

I won't be there, but I'll be at sound out of sound Should come on down if you. If you punt it on the on the old Acapella Fest, all right, that's more than enough Acapella Talk on this podcast To our wide receivers. I have to shout out my boy, kenan Allen. He's my big boy of the week 26.96 points, which is weird. It's a weird number for a receiver, but it's only because he had 215 receiving yards and 49 passing yards that resulted in a passing touchdown. He threw a touchdown to Mike Williams, which was pretty cool. Almost was the same amount of points as if he just caught a touchdown, but yep threw a touchdown, only touchdown. He had all day, but he had 18 receptions.

Speaker 2:

So if you had in PPR, congratulations. You probably just won based off of that. And then I also have here Devonta Adams, my old friend 29.2 points, 172 receptions, receptions, receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sorry, I like, try to like, I try to decipher what kind of yards they get here, and I put REC every time and I knew I was going to do that someday. But and then, of course, the aforementioned Tyreek Hill, dylan, this is your big boy of the week 21.7 points. He's a runner, he's a track star, what? What else can you say about him?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, tyreek Hill is a killer. It's it's been well stated by now. I also want to highlight his, you know.

Speaker 1:

I mean other conference, but still a guy that people should still be talking about as a number one wide receiver in this league, which is Justin Jefferson, and I think he hasn't been mentioned a lot this season because he's kind of just been doing awesome stuff that we expect from weekend and week out, but he's been great.

Speaker 1:

He's been especially good in PPR settings because he dominates targets and receptions like that. He scored his first touchdown this week and I think more will be coming. If you took him, like Steve did with the number two pick, he's still just a great asset to have something that you build your team around. I mean, there's no run wonder why Steve is three and oh you know, you hit well on that first pick. You get that solid wide receiver one and you can really like have a lot of room to build out your running back room, yada yada from there. So I just wanted to give Jefferson a little bit of love this week and that Vikings offense still keeps on chucking the ball and Kirk Cousins is on pace for 51 touchdowns, over 6000 yards and an 0-1 17 season.

Speaker 2:

You got to love it. Yeah, I mean, justin Jefferson, like you said, has been consistently good. He is your, at least in our standard league. He's the number three receiver right now and so we have week one 150 yards. Week two 159 yards. Week three 149 yards and touchdown. That's all I can really ask for from your number one receiver. You know he's putting up 15 points at least every week. This week he had 20.9. So yeah, he's been great. He is Kirk Cousins Favorite target. He is getting 12 to 13 targets game. It's all I could ask for, it's all I could want. So I'm sure he'll continue to be consistently great. I'm sure he'll have a couple of bust out games. You know the ones where he, you know, goats over a hundred yards and two touchdowns that'll win you your week or at least give you a shot. So, yeah, he's been a safe pick, I think. I think, yeah, the top two picks of the draft have been Good safe picks so far. You know we've we kind of fall off at three with Jamar Chase, who has been up and down, finally had a good week this week. But, um, yeah, christian McCaffrey and Justin Jefferson have been solid picks so far.

Speaker 2:

We have a tight end big boy of the week, sam LaPorta. Welcome to the league man. This dude is great. I'm sad he's on the Lions because he is a fantastic player. The Lions Just love that tight end position. He had 84 yards and a touchdown Just kind of what you drafted him for. If you were looking for like a late round tight end. He was kind of one of those darlings around. You know Dalton Kincaid and Luke Musgrave and all that. So, sam LaPorta, you were a big boy this week, congratulations.

Speaker 2:

Our big boy defense of the week was Buffalo, with 24 points. They had a touchdown for Interceptions, a fumble return and three points against. I was really close to taking Washington plus six and a half in that game and I'm really glad I didn't touch that because I thought they were. I thought they were gonna be great this week. I thought they were, they thought they could have won the game honestly, and I'm Very, very, very wrong. They got shellacked and they looked like the Washington commanders that we know and love. So, yeah, buffalo's back Again. We're going to the best game of the week next week, buffalo versus Miami, where both teams are currently on fire. It's gonna be a great time.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

Last, last but not least, the kicker big boy the week was my very own Matt gay 24 points, just Nailing 50 yarders. One last one for the win. He was on fire. We don't really give much attention to the kickers or the defenses and all that, but have to shout out the little guys when you can right, dylan.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. Let's move on to our bad boys. The worst segment of the week. Oh, a frequent flyer of this quarterback group, joe burrow 8.16 points, 259 yards and an interception Just not looking good for this Bengals team right now. They did come out with the victory, but it is not looking too hot. They are yeah, they're just it's a slow start again. It's just I said it, I said it a four week one. He gets injured during the preseason. He rests, they come out and they're kind of flat and he just re-aggravated the injury last week. You know he seemed to be healthy. This week he stayed in, but I believe it was the whole game which I'm coming out and saying bounce back week. This week. He ends up on the big boys list this upcoming weekend. I think going up against Tennessee will be great for him. I think they need a reset. I think he can find some some success there, but right now they are. They are on the down and down. Dylan, do you, do you share my optimism with Joe burrow, or are you scared? Yeah, definitely scared.

Speaker 1:

I do not share your optimism and next week I think the struggles continue. Tennessee as bad as they've been offensively, they've been pretty good defensively, and Just not. There still is something off about this Cincinnati Team. It was good to see Hendrickson get going in the defense. Put put up the amount of pressure they did. I mean at least from a Cincinnati point of view.

Speaker 1:

But I'm not super happy with having burrow. I have got him on one one roster and it's not the best feeling because you could tell he's he's not a hundred percent healthy. That being said, got the weapons there. Nixon's healthy, higgins is healthy, chase is healthy. The Offensive line did struggle against the Rams, but it's the Rams, it's Aaron Donald. Let's see how they have a lot of confidence in their game. That's a game to watch for me. I mean, if you've got bangles on your team, that's a, that's a litmus test. It's like three out of four games where the team really struggles. Throwing the ball Would be. Yeah, that would be. You know, panic time in In both reality and fantasy. I mean I think it's a good thing. Fantasy, I mean I know that Cincinnati fans are Probably a little bit nervous at this time, but they won that game that was a must win.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, they, um, they have Tennessee this week and they have Arizona the next week, like they have to be get right weeks for them, because if they, if they drop One or both of these games, I don't know man, it's it's, it's hard to come back from from that slow of a start. So they kind of have to put it together now or they kind of have to, you know, maybe think about just getting Joe Burrow right and set them out for a little bit, because it's it's not looking too hot. It's also not looking too hot for our friends in Chicago. Justin Fields is continuing to struggle mightily Again. As a Packers fan is fantastic, but I can only imagine the frustration for Any Chicago Bears fans out there. I'm sure that the day drinking has gotten worse in Chicago somehow, which is hard for that to do. You know, like it's, it's not very, not very great there at the moment. So, um, yeah, he only put up 10.6 points this week and you'd hope that he'd use his legs a little bit more again. There's not a lot of design runs happening for him. They did have the tough task of the chief, so you kind of were expecting a Tough game. Is that? Defense is pretty good, but you also expect that when you're down by that much, you know you really got a. You got to sling the ball a little bit more. You know he had 47 yards in the ground with 11 carries, but it's just not enough. You know he was he was a top five quarterback last year because he was breaking off. You know 40, 50 yard runs and ending up with over a hundred yards in the ground and a couple touchdowns. This is just a, not a formula that is working out and it's also making these receivers have a tough year.

Speaker 2:

Dj Moore, you know someone that Everyone thought was gonna kind of not fix but change this offense to give. You know Justin feels a true number one wide receiver. You know he's only catching the ball three times, or 41 yards Again in a blowout game that you know you'd hope that you'd have to put up. You know at least a little bit more than this. But yeah, 10 points for the Chicago Bears. They are 0 and 3 and they have a decent chance next week against the Broncos at home. They are still three and a half point underdogs At that soldiers field. But yeah, I Don't have any optimism for Justin Fields at the moment. I hope that he can figure out some point, but this is at least not the group to figure it out with. Don't? Do you share my, my negativity with Justin Fields?

Speaker 1:

I'll go positive. Wow, because he still has the legs, you know, and that makes up a lot in fantasy football. Are they going to be a good team this year? No, are. Is Justin Fields, even you know, gonna be the quarterback next year in Chicago? That's an open question. But the guy can still run. He's shown how athletic he is. I think you're gonna see much better fantasy games out of him than a measly 10 points. But unfortunately he's probably not gonna live up to draft day expectations which is what you're always aiming for In this fantasy world is trying to hit the guy at the right time in the draft and it's looking like he's going to underachieve.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was taken early in a ton of leagues, including ours, and you know, with that hope that he was gonna continue the success at the end of last year. And you like, you're right, I do agree with you he's got the legs. So that is the one upside in this, in this funny little fantasy game that we play. But, yeah, I'm hoping that, you know, with this season, you know, maybe they draft a quarterback this year and he can go to to greener pastures and find a team where he can Figure it out, because I, like I said, I don't think this is the one. What do you what? Who do you want?

Speaker 1:

to Las Vegas.

Speaker 2:

Las Vegas. Oh, that's good, that'd be fun. I Don't know if they're the ones to figure it out either with, but it's at least a change of pace. That's that's. It's not Chicago, so that helps. Yeah, I don't know. I have to think about. The. Teams are looking for quarterbacks next year when where he could fit well or at least maybe get a coach that can unlock him, but I don't believe that will happen this year.

Speaker 2:

Speaking of guys that use their legs are running back bad boys. Unfortunately, derek Henry tops this list. Only had two points 20 yards. Tennessee was Terrible last week. They were Got awful. They only put up three points. He just didn't get anything going. They were in a losing script the whole time. It's kind of what happens With that run game is like once, once they're down, derek Henry's out. I guess just couldn't really get anything going against that. That Browns defensive line. I Don't think this is gonna be a typical week. This happens with Derek Henry. He'll put up two points this week and he might put up 32 points next week. So Start Derek Henry. Don't let this deter you from anything. He's gonna be fine, right?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's just he is 30 years old and eventually wearing terror of playing this game. You know it catches up to you, no matter who you are. And so are we hitting the point where Derek Henry's out. You know, careers starting has plateaued and now we're going to the descent, like the second half or the back half, like Adrian Peterson Esk. I mean that's that would be best case scenario to me, but I Would go out and say Derek Henry's not gonna be a first-round fantasy running back next year, just saying hmm, interesting.

Speaker 2:

I mean, yeah that's, that's a possibility. I I still gonna be good.

Speaker 1:

He's still gonna put up numbers and it's just. I Think there's a lot of new guy, a lot of young guys I mean, that are coming up and Are just more appealing in the fantasy football world. And then I mean it doesn't help when you know the offense is pulling up 94 yards. It's not a passing game to speak of, but that hasn't stopped Henry in the past. It seems to be Hurting him a little bit more now and before he's already banged up a little bit. I think it's just normal wear and tear. And yeah, you're right, he's gonna put up, he's probably gonna put up a big game next, next week. But I Think the days of Henry being the number one fantasy King Henry, I think they're over, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, interesting. I still think he ends up being like a top, you know 24 back. You know like a running back one or two. I I agree with you that I think Tajik Spears takes that job at some point. You know, maybe not this year, but you know next year could be more of a split. But yeah, you know, like we talked about before they play the Bengals next week at home, if the Bengals continue to be slow and have a, have a slow offense and not put up points, you know that's a perfect situation for Derek Henry to just kind of, you know, run the ball and keep possession and run the clock out. So you know, if, if the Bengals stay slow, derek Henry, I think we'll eat next week. So you know I'll just screw through there. I still think he's gonna be a great running back this year. So start your Derek Henry's please. He's still pretty great.

Speaker 2:

And then the next guy here he is going to be a frequent flyer on this list Najee Harris. There's just something about that, that Steelers offensive line. He just can't get anything going behind there. He kind of needs, he needs a lot of space and he doesn't get any when he is back there. Jalen Warren seems to do better Behind that line. He kind of goes at it with one speed and kind of just you know bust out of the offensive line and at least can like hit, hit the holes quick and get out there and you know, get a couple yards. But Najee kind of takes his time behind there and he just gets Walloped. So you know he still put up 6.5 points.

Speaker 2:

He had a okay week but he is not A top. You know two round Running back that people have been drafting, as in fancy football. He really had that one rookie year and ever since then it's kind of been a it's been slow going. I am not an Najee fan. I don't have any leagues, I can't swallow it. I feel for the guy because he I think he's a talented back, but I just don't think that he's in a great situation right now. I don't think he's Good for that backfield at the moment.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, this is starting to become the new norm for Najee Harris. Like you said, a frequent flyer on the bad boys, let's start. You know, eventually he won't even be on the bad boys list because it will just be more like Okay, that's what we expect out of Najee Harris, more like flex type numbers, but not not looking at like a starting running back In In fantasy. So yeah, and we also got some bad boy wide receivers here, a couple, starting with the aforementioned T Higgins, really influential in that last game, yeah, 2.1 points 21 yards.

Speaker 1:

Just a dude, he just kept dropping the ball.

Speaker 2:

Like I said, he was on my other leagues team last night at the time I was watching this game and it's like it's like he had like 2 of the same magnet in his hands as the ball did, because every time I hit it it just bounced off, is like he had this magnificent week last week and then he just it was like he got space jammed, dude, he just his powers went away. It's kind of hard to watch. It didn't help that Bengals offense, you know, with that slow start because you know he was getting hit in the hands. It was, they were decent passes, he was just dropping them. So that was kind of sad to watch Last night. I don't know if you were, if you were noticing his, his unfortunate drops, but it was. It was hurting me because, like I said I was, I was counting on him to maybe win a game yesterday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, me too.

Speaker 2:

I was counting on him too, thankfully.

Speaker 1:

I wasn't Actively watching that game, so at least not noticing the drops, or else I would have had a more, I think, aggravating Monday night. So I'm glad I missed, missed those, those highlights right there, or low lights? Oh yeah, definitely, definitely low lights, and you know we also have Devontae Smith here. 2.8 points.

Speaker 2:

It's gonna be really hard with this Eagles wide receiver core. You know AJ Brown kind of complained last week that he wasn't getting the ball First. You know two throws of the game went right to AJ Brown. You know was kind of giving him his confidence back, hyping him up, which I think is a good move.

Speaker 2:

But it's hard to have both of these guys be great, especially when they rely so much on that crazy running game they have. You know they have such a, you know, a fluid running game that you don't need to constantly be thrown on the ball. Jalen Hertz is not a chucker, if you will, so he fed AJ Brown yesterday, who had a pretty decent day. Devon DeSmith did not see the same kind of targets. So I don't know it's gonna be back and forth. You're gonna play both those guys every week. You kind of have to because one of them's gonna get fed. But as long as that running game is humming, both of them aren't gonna be relied on as much as maybe you'd hope when you were drafting these guys in the first couple rounds. But that's at least my two cents on it. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I was thinking the exact same thing. It's gonna be tough to have both of them go off at the same time. So yeah, right there with you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just too many mouths to feed. It's just such a balanced offense.

Speaker 1:

Their run game, I think is better this year, Weirdly enough.

Speaker 2:

I think so too. I think Jadresift is a great added element for them. And again, you know you got a lot of superstars in that locker room, so you're gonna have to be spreading the ball around a little bit and I'm sure he'll have a couple breakout games like the rest of these guys, but it's not gonna be a consistent. So it'll be a little boomer bust for Devontae Smith. Not gonna be a consistent year for him. And then your tight end bad boys. Let's go on to these. It's all of them, as always. You know. I don't know if you want to say something specifically, but Mark Andrews didn't have a great week, for you draft him. But again, all the tight ends are bad boys. We only love Travis Kelsey here. So does Taylor Swift. Sorry, you kind of broke that barrier, dylan.

Speaker 1:

So well, I was gonna say, like what was the better, kelsey Swift, combo, the Eagles or the Chiefs? It's an open question.

Speaker 2:

I think, in terms of football, the Eagles. In terms of the news, the Chiefs.

Speaker 1:

But you've never seen Taylor Swift play football.

Speaker 2:

I haven't. That is a good point. Maybe she's got a cannon there, you know. Maybe she's got the endurance you know she does those four hour concerts. That that's nothing to scoff at. So I don't know. She a wide receiver, she running back, I don't know where she plays, where she fits, she's pretty tall so I'd say she'd probably be like a nice ex-receiver on the outside. Safety, oh yeah, she'd be good safety, she's pretty confident. So you kind of have to have that kind of pure confidence there. What are we talking about? Why are we talking about Taylor Swift playing football? What's wrong with us? We're a bunch of sad boys right now, which is the segment we will be moving on to. We really have three this week.

Speaker 2:

I'm sure there's more than a missing, but at least the notable names on offense, starting with Mike Williams out for the year ACL. It's always a bummer with Mike Williams. He's so talented, he's so good. He always gets hurt. You can always count on Mike Williams getting hurt, unfortunately. He plays hard and, yeah, you played the whole game. I mean it really happened in the fourth quarter. So just a bummer definitely takes away from the ceiling that this Chargers team has. He's already off to a rough start. This doesn't help. They still have Joshua Palmer to step in there, who's been good. I think he could be consistent for them. But I think Mike Williams is just a fantastic one-two punch with Keenan Allen and he will be missed by that team. So that is a huge bummer.

Speaker 2:

Derek Carr came out of the game against the Packers. He got absolutely thrown onto the ground. He got an AC joint sprain in his shoulder. Apparently it's very painful. I don't know much about the AC joint but it's not good. So James Winston is slated to play this week. Derek Carr is questionable but I can't imagine he's playing based on the timeline of that injury usually. And then Jimmy Garoppolo had a concussion this week assuming he's questionable going forward, but with concussions it's hard to say. So he's not rostered in our league. So pick him up if he's healthy. He's been alright. Did I miss anyone? Big time, dylan.

Speaker 1:

No one big time. I think that Mike Williams was the biggest hit because he had himself a game too, so that was tough to see. And then Derek Carr is actually sneakily like could be a big hit to the Saints team. I don't know what to make of the Saints offense right now. I know James Winston can really throw the ball like a lot. He can throw for yards. He'll turn the ball over for sure, but I don't know. It remains to be seen what happens to guys like Michael Thomas or Lavandro. They're getting Camara back this week, so I'll be tuning in because I got some Saints on my squad. But yeah, I don't know. It's going to be interesting. What's the big difference in the way that those two quarterbacks run this offense? Because Carr is looking at a multi-week absence. He's looking at at least three weeks. I think they're saying so yeah, just something to pay attention to, but not long term. So he'll be back.

Speaker 2:

Right, yeah, I mean we'll see how James plays. I know last year there was a lot of talk with James and the usage of Alvin Camara, so it's interesting that Camara comes back this week. James is slated to start the next couple weeks. It's going to be interesting. Definitely something to watch. As a Taysom Hill owner, I'm hoping that they rely on him a bit more. I'm going to hold on to that hope there. They did use him a lot two weeks ago, but not as much this past week.

Speaker 2:

Taysom has been a boring offense too. I'm curious if this sparks anything for him. Maybe get some longer touchdowns out there, hit a lava for those deep touchdowns. So we'll see how it goes. But yeah, let's move on.

Speaker 2:

We're going to talk about some of the trades that happened in our league this week. Two kind of interesting ones. One I have a couple thoughts on, one I'm only a little salty about because I was kind of in on him. But first one was Tyler Lockett for Breeze Hall. This occurred between Brandon and Connor Levinson. This was fascinating to me only because there's not a lot of running back depth on Brandon's team. He gave it Breeze Hall. It was nice for me this week because he ended up starting Zach Charbonnet against me and his leading back is Isaiah Pacheco. He picked up Antonio Gibson and he didn't even start Tyler Lockett. This week Tyler Lockett stayed on the bench.

Speaker 2:

I'm curious how this trade works out. Breeze Hall didn't have a great week at all. He was only 2.2 points for St Stevenson there. Yeah, it kind of almost seems like a null trade right now. It seems like neither team is going to use the guy. They traded for that much. But I'm curious what Brandon's going to do about the depth. That's my concern. I'm curious what his grand plan is. I wonder if there's a couple more trades he's going to make to try to secure that running back one or two position, because I don't see it with Zach Charbonnet or Antonio Gibson right now. What were your initial thoughts on that?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, I think, when you're looking at it, at a straight up, lockett for Hall. I like getting Lockett in exchange for Breeze Hall, because that Jets team is a disaster right now. So I think that's an upgrade. I think he did well To get Lockett. Yeah, you're right with the term. With the way that his team is set up it's not the best fit-wise for his team, but it gets him really solid depth at the wide receiver spot.

Speaker 1:

Right now he's got Rochon Johnson at the RB2, which I think is an upgrade over Charbonnet because he's getting more snaps now in Chicago. It's still just still an offense that you're worried about, but you know it's. That's something right there and I think he does need to eventually either trade for a true RB1 or hope for some type of waiver pickup here. But the fact that he was able to upgrade one for one, it's not to me, it's not like Breeze Hall is going to make it into his starting lineup anyway. The first week of Breeze Hall might have been a big outlier this season, just the way that the Jets offense has been incapable of moving the ball downfield. I think it's a win for Brandon. I think Locke it's the better player.

Speaker 2:

I don't just agree with you there, at least for this season. But yeah, I just, I mean we already. He already has AG Brown, tyreek Hill, george Pickens, corten Sutton, he's got KJ Osborne there and then Tyler Locke it. You know you got six guys that you know. Even with Locke it there, I mean I guess he goes in over at George Pickens, but Pickens could also be great this year. I mean, I don't mind the depth, we are a standard league so it's hard to load up on wide receiver and you know we're not getting we're not getting any points for receptions out here. But I guess I would have rather held out hope for Breeze Hall and at least had like a decent RB two season out of him. But hey, man, it is what it is. It was a null trade this week, so I guess you know the jury's still out on this going forward. And then we had a trade that you were a part of this week which is also an interesting one. It's DJ Moore for Hunter Henry.

Speaker 2:

I thought this was a fine trade. I I'm really out on the Chicago passing offense so, like you know, if someone wants to take a swing at that, that's cool. And Hunter Henry started out the season great. You know, a couple touchdowns seemed. You know the Patriots are using that tight end position. He wasn't the focus this week. It was their second or third string tight end who had never heard of before who ended up having, I think, three catches for like 70 something yards in a touchdown. Really was, I was looking to get a trade out to you for Hunter Henry because I was pretty interested in him, but yeah, you pulled the trigger before I could even get in the room. So you know that was fine. You know it was okay. I mean, you know you didn't. You didn't really say that he was available, but I'm okay with it.

Speaker 1:

Well, next time I. I guess I got to make some type of announcement here. You know, until you can check, if you want.

Speaker 2:

I just I was looking at, I was looking to just at least make some kind of proposal to you, and it just as I was doing it, I got the notification. It was like shit, All right, never mind, I'll, I'll.

Speaker 1:

I'll let that go. Yeah, we should make like a trading block here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we do have the message board now in ESPN you can like talk to the whole league with. So if I guess, if you want to put someone on the trade block, you can, or I you know, sometimes it's better to move in silence. So you don't know, you know you still have the upper hand.

Speaker 2:

So I get, I get why you did it. I was just kind of hoping to to get in on the ground floor, so it's all right. But how are you feeling about the trade? Do you feel like you? You got the the better end of it.

Speaker 1:

Look, I needed to upgrade my wide receiver room. I started Skymore week one. That's kind of where I was at. I'm actually more optimistic right now in terms of Marquis Brown and his output Cause, like Joshua Dobbs actually holding it down in Arizona, they beat the Cowboys this week like good for Arizona. So like needed the upgrade and I feel good now that Andrews looks like he's pretty healthy. Henry was the guy who I like a lot. I definitely like how Bill O'Brien likes to use the tight ends in his offenses and I think they they are going to target Henry a lot in the red zone this season. So you should find the end zone a lot more. But no pun intended, but DJ Moore, you know you just you just hope for the best. I guess in Chicago it's kind of bleak right now. So yeah, it was good. In terms of a team need, I would say.

Speaker 2:

Sure.

Speaker 1:

From my end and Frank need needed tight end help at the moment. Cause Kyle Pitts. Wow, not not the Kyle Pitts any fantasy person was thinking. I mean, this was not in the realm of possibility, year three to be this low on the rankings, but yeah here we are.

Speaker 2:

That's Kyle Pitts. Baby Got to ride the ride. Yeah, now you're you got a plethora of running backs here that you know you can still make a move here. I mean, you're you got Bijan, you got ETN, because Zach Moss, who's been fantastic for the Colts, and then Kamara. You know, I'm assuming at some point you switch out Moss with Kamara, but I don't know. You got. You got you got more moves to make. That's, that's all I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

So uh, oh yeah, no, I know, I am just body my time being a little patient. See how the chips fall. Yeah and uh as they may fall as they as they may, um, but yeah, if you're, that's a good, that's a good uh statement to make there, connor, that if you're in need of running back, you know, like I got some here. So maybe let's see. Let's see what happens.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we had some trade requests flying before we started this podcast, um, so you know who you are sending out some, some wild trades.

Speaker 2:

It was unfortunate that we were talking to each other at this time, um, but uh, yeah, speaking of those trades, uh, let's move to our panic panic section. Um, there's not really much to say here. We find I've already touched on all these points. But, uh, what leads off the section is the jets. Um, they almost pull off a comeback against the Patriots this past week.

Speaker 2:

Um, seems like people really, really, really hate Zach Wilson. I kind of feel bad for the kid, Um, he wasn't supposed to be in this position right now, but alas he is and it's not going very well. Um, you know, they said Zach Wilson's a quarterback the rest of the season. I'm curious if they make a move in the next couple of weeks to either acquire one by trade or if they sign someone that's a veteran that maybe can help out in that at least that quarterback room or take over that job, because, uh, not looking so hot. It seems like Garrett Wilson is frustrated.

Speaker 2:

Um, if you have a jet, it's not, it's not. You know where you drafted them, you know it's. You're now looking at uh, uh, a bad return uh on investment here. So not good with the jets. New York is uh, in flames over there, um, both New York teams, honestly, but we're not going to talk about the other one, uh, and then the other one was the Titans and Derek Henry. Um, I said before, I think Derek Henry's going to be fine. I don't think the Titans will be fine. I think the Titans are pretty bad, so it's going to be a pretty horrible season for them, but I think Derek Henry's going to be fine. But, dylan, do you have any, any panic of these two here? I know I know you already. Uh, we're out on the jets.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, I do feel for Zach Wilson because he got called out by Joe Namath. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Brutal.

Speaker 1:

Brutal and it's like I could just imagine Namath being a guy that Wilson you know, idolized or looked up to, especially when he got trapped about the jets and then, like, just put yourself in Wilson's shoes and like if one of your heroes was calling you out and saying that you, like you don't have what it takes to be in the NFL, like gosh, that hurts, and he's like supposedly rooting for your team. I thought it was kind of a weird thing for Namath to say I'm not saying like he's, he's wrong, like in terms of Wilson, like not playing well, but support your team, support your guy. He's the QB right now. So, um, but definitely banicking on the jets.

Speaker 2:

They are sunk Dude he called his play disgusting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think that's a bit too far, you know like be more of a leader there.

Speaker 2:

You know you're. You're a revered legend, maybe. Maybe don't call the kid who's already under pressure in New York his play disgusting, so yeah.

Speaker 1:

Honestly, like I'm definitely on the side of like this kid has been through a lot and he's super young, like gosh, like let's just take it a little bit easier. He came in he wasn't supposed to be the number one quarterback. It's not like this was the plan, like he, and he was calling for some of the coaches to be fired too. I was just like I was kind of shocked by the whole thing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Old man yells like clouds. It was a little peak. I think he went a little bit off the rails there. Yeah, it happens. You know you're on a radio show.

Speaker 1:

You say stuff and you know, I just would like to maybe see him apologize later on, and you know, because he's, after all, just a kid trying to, you know, make it for the Jetson and it's a tough, such a tough market. So yeah, but that's football, baby.

Speaker 2:

That's football, baby. Yeah, let's wrap this up with our matchup predictions here. We both had pretty good weeks last week. Dylan is now at 10 and eight. I am at eight and 10. I am slowly creeping back to even here after an awful 0 and 6 start In order here, at least in terms of my application, I have my very own team, dk Havich, your way versus the Red Hot G-Paws.

Speaker 2:

This could possibly be the game of the week. I'm not saying that because I'm involved in it, I'm just saying it because both these teams are putting up points right now. You know we have a this could be a Glenn Levinson barn burner. So, yeah, I'm taking myself here because I have to. You know, got to rally the squad Chris McCaffrey against Arizona. We have Kenan Allen against Las Vegas. I think Taysum Hill gets a bit more involved, with Derek Carr being out the next couple of weeks and I got a couple more adjustments to make in this roster.

Speaker 2:

But my wide receivers have been great. I think I have the yeah, the wide receiver, two right now and Kenan Allen, and without Mike Williams I think he becomes more of a target. You know I am scared of the other side with Jalen Hertz and Tifante Adams, but you know, if he doesn't have Austin Eckler this week, he's still looking at AJ Dillon and you know Rashad White, who had a bad week last week and he's going up against New Orleans. I have a little bit of it's more confidence in my squad but, dylan, I see you disagree with me. Why are you going with the wise old man?

Speaker 1:

Hmm, well, it's a little bit of a strategy game here. I'm trying, we're also. It's the game within the game. We're having this predictions battle, but I do feel like the G-Paws have been making the right moves and you know he's got some options in the flex. He doesn't want to go with Jacoby Myers, who I think is still a fine option, going against Los Angeles. The biggest hurdle is going to be AJ Dillon, but he's got some depth there with Rashid Rice, who looked pretty good. Ezekiel Elliott finally had a big game for New England and so like he's also got some room to make moves here and if he goes with this lineup, I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all. I think this is the solid lineup that can win Whatever moves that the G-Paws wants to go with. It's been working out so far. So I'm going to take the G-Paws to win this one. It's going to be close, but yeah, I'm taking them to go to four and oh.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's pushing the right buttons. It took years to have it all click, but it's finally clicking and it's like the Detroit Lions Just like the Detroit Lions Exactly. It's like a lot of these young teams that are starting to put it together. Even the Dolphins right Like the Dolphins are kind of like that. They were awful for so long. All right, next up we have Marks was right versus.

Speaker 2:

Love is a battlefield. Love is a battlefield. It has had a lot of tough battles so far, losing a couple guys that have been vital to the team. You know, first round picks Nick Chubb. But they have persevered. They picked up Jerome Ford off the waiver wire which. There were people in front of Nick on the waiver wire that didn't pick up Jerome Ford. So I'm a little suspect there. Guys, let's pay attention to the waiver wire here when someone like that is out there. They've been putting some claims, but it's fine, it's all right. I'm glad you got them. It is a one for one pick up with Nick Chubb going out. But he's got Lamar Jackson against Cleveland. He's got Alexander Madison against Carolina. T Higgins needs a bounce back game this week. Jerome Ford against Baltimore I don't know, I'm just going with.

Speaker 2:

Love is a battlefield. Marcus is right. It's had a really tough start to the year. Joe Burrow, quarterback, just lost Mike Williams. Aaron Jones is questionable. Should be slated to play though. So if you get them off IR Joe, you can get them into that lineup and might have a better chance this week. So, yeah, I'm going to go with. Love is a battlefield, but it might be closer than we think. What do you say, dylan?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it might be closer than we think. In terms of something other than the score, I think that it's going to be blow out. Love is a battlefield all the way going to two and two Wow.

Speaker 2:

All right, bold. Next up it is your very own matchup, parsons of interest versus Bijan Mustard. It's been tough going for Parsons of interest. For the defending champ it's been. You know, even with those two sick wide receivers it's been tough, and they both have really tough matchups this week Aja Brown against Washington and Tyree Killigan's Buffalo in Buffalo Not ideal. I just like your lineup a little bit more. You got a couple of Jacksonville guys in their hometown of London, you know, I think Bijan Also, you kind of have the London game this week. You got a ton of guys over there, including the defense. It's all about defense too, but I think Bijan's got to have a little bit of bounce back game this week. I just think that you're slated for just a better go here. I'm still. I'm nervous about Justin Fields, even though he goes up against the pitiful Denver. I just think the running back depth isn't going to pull through this week. So yeah, I'm going with you, dylan, I see that you agree.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and this lineup you see here, I don't think this is going to be the final game day lineup. I'm looking to make some moves here, switch up some of these decisions for my starters. But overall I think what what you're pointing out is true and We'll take down Parsons of interest. But I mean, if there's any time to for fields to turn it around, it's gotta be this week, you know so. So strain, it could happen, could happen. It could go off and you can see kind of a Tyree kill AJ Brown. I'm scared of that duo.

Speaker 1:

It's gonna depend upon Ken Brandon's running backs you know, deliver for him because he's he's going with some big swings here at running back. He doesn't really have a choice at this point. So you know that that's gonna be. These are the matchups you're kind of nervous about because they seem like Okay, you've got it, you're good to go. But strange things do happen in this game. But taking Bijan mustard Bijan.

Speaker 2:

All right, next we have I'm on top of the world versus team Cronus. This is also a brutal matchup. It's kind of 50-50 right now in the projections. You know I'm on top of the world's waiting for Jaylen Waddle to come back. He's questioned both a moment. Still, going against Buffalo was pretty stout defense. I don't love Damian Pierce versus Pittsburgh. I think that is a tough matchup. I don't see that Working out too well for Damian Pierce there. Derek Henry against Cincinnati, I believe, is the only player that can really save this matchup. If Derek Henry has a Derek Henry type of week, then I'm on more. I'm on top of the world can take this, but I do believe that team Cronus will continue Setting the fantasy world of Blaze. I don't particularly love any specific matchup Besides, like Justin Jefferson at Carolina and then all of the 49ers at Arizona. But I just you know I'm gonna go with the hot hand here with team Cronus. What say you, dill?

Speaker 1:

I'm pulling a last-minute audible. I'm switching up and going with am on aim on top of the world because I'm looking at this Gus Edwards injury right now. Apparently he was evaluated for a concussion during Sunday's game, so if he can't go I think that changes the entire. You know Look of this team. I think Amon's been underachieving. One into one in three just seems too low for a roster with to Henry St Brown and waddle, I think they they get back to 500 here. I think Cronus finally takes an L, so I'm going with With Doug here this matchup.

Speaker 1:

I like for some reason I can't say his name.

Speaker 2:

I'm on top of the world, so yeah, like I'm on top of the world, I'm on Ross Ame Brown.

Speaker 1:

I'm on top of the world. I'm on top of the world. Yeah, okay, took that song.

Speaker 2:

So next up we have St Stevenson versus cooking their ass. So can't believe you can say that and I can say DK, it's ridiculous. I Am taking John's team here. I like Josh Allen against Miami. Think it's gonna be, you know, maybe a little bit of a shoot out there, just to keep up with that Miami offense. I like some of the Buffalo play this week, kenneth Walker against the Giants, I Just I think Calvin Ridley Revenge game against Atlanta. That was what I think. That was my focus when I was looking at this game Earlier on today.

Speaker 2:

Of course it's really hard to go up against Pat Mahomes and Jamar Chase and you know Devon a Chan Now who is emerging running back and you know he's slated to. He's projected for 10.2 points but again he had one carry for five yards in the first two weeks and then he had this week. So I'm let's see how he actually gets used this week when they don't score 70 points, just curious. And then Jameer Gibbs has been kind of up and down like not really used, what we thought he'd be like, even with injuries to that backfield. See how that, how that goes down, on Thursday against the Packers and then Remanders Stevenson against Dallas.

Speaker 2:

I know Dallas just gave up. You know it's on a points, especially to James Connor this past Sunday, but I think that they're gonna come out with vengeance. They're home and Dallas I don't know if they're gonna let the Patriots into this game at all. So I don't know if the run game is really there and Stevenson's been kind of disappointing this year so far. So go home with John cooking their ass. I believe that he cooks, saying Stevenson's ass. What'd say you?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's actually Devon H Sean is. Is H Sean's name right there? I believe you said a Chon, a Chen, a Chen. Chon a Chon a.

Speaker 2:

Chon.

Speaker 1:

Devon a Chon Devon a.

Speaker 2:

Ryan's Devon a Chon.

Speaker 1:

Okay, it's Devon a Chon, right, and, and I'm going with Devon a Chon to win this, I'm taking St Stevenson. I think there's just a little bit of Iraqi boat right now for cooking their ass until they get Barkley back. I'm just a little nervous taking them with. I'm looking at Calvin Ridley struggling a lot too, and and and so I'm going with St Stevenson. I think St Stevenson gets their first win, I think with the chase, are you my homes? You got to get a win eventually with those guys. So picking them this week.

Speaker 2:

You'd hope you'd hope, pray for him. Last but not least, we have bad Gramps versus Kirkeman's dead. I have Kirkeman's dead here. I just think you know Tony Pollard's been One of the best picks of this year. I think Josh Jacobs actually has a decent game against the Chargers. Kirk cousins is gonna Kirk cousins, you know, like you said, he is slated for 6,000 yards and 51 touchdown. So I think captain Kirk slings it this week against Carolina. Sorry, dylan, the Raheem Moser against Buffalo. You know, can't count out that Miami run game. So, yeah, I'm going there. I just, I just don't think that the the depth on the other side. You know, I think that the Rams are coming back down to earth a little bit. We got a lot invested in those receivers on that side and Christian Kirk starting there. I like Christian Kirk, but you know he's he's been up and down so far, so we'll see. It looks like Bad Gramps is gonna make a couple moves on the waiver wire. So let's see what he, what he can conjure up and We'll see what happens.

Speaker 1:

But I'm not with Kirkeman's dead. He's making space on his roster so he's definitely looking at that waiver wire right now. I will take Kirkeman's dead. I think this is gonna be a much closer matchup than anticipated, but we still even haven't seen a big game out of Josh Jacobs. If we get that, I mean Kirkeman's is gonna be starting to talk about as as a championship contender because looking at this roster, I mean Raheem Moster has been sensational and then Pollard has been that true RB won that he drafted him for, and Kirk cousins We've talked about a lot. So if he can start getting Josh Jacobs going, I mean this guy's the limit for this team.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, if he could figure it out the wide receiver position here. He's got Devonte Smith and Jerry Judy right now. I mean those guys could could still, you know, be great going forward. But yeah, he's, he's got Christian Watson on the on the IR spot too. So it's like this this team is insane. I mean the running back depth is is wild. And yeah, I think Kirkeman's dead could be. I mean I could see him on the power rankings this next go around maybe be a top-2 team because a Pretty scary there. Tony Pollard, like I said, he's been one of the one of the safest picks you know out of that first round. He's been super consistent and so, yep, that's those are our matchup predictions.

Speaker 2:

We have one tip of the week. It is a Top of the morning to you all. We have a, we have an England game, even though those Irish we have in a game in London. So 930 Eastern Standard Time, if you're west of here, figure it out, it's earlier. So make sure you set your lineup on Saturday. If you have someone that's questionable in this game, set your alarm because they will be Putting out those injury, those final injury reports at 8 am Am Eastern Standard Time. And again, if you're west of here, figure it out. It's, it's gonna be, it's gonna be early, so that's, that's all. Really any anything else about the the London game, dylan.

Speaker 1:

They got a toy story Version of the football game streaming on Disney Plus. I'm actually really excited for this myself. I'm. I will be tuning in just to see how this all transpires, because I never thought this would be a thing, and so, yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing, like Woody slain some passes around and the dinosaur catching some, some balls, although I don't think he's gonna have a long range with those arms. But uh, yeah, oh yeah, definitely looking forward to that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think, I think there's gonna be a lot of Password interference. A little boat peep with that, uh, with that hook she's got there.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, for definitely, definitely and then mr Potato Head, like he can actually play as all kinds of players on the field and block for himself with his nose.

Speaker 2:

You can put that over there and right fumbles a lot, though it all falls out a lot. So I think he's a. He's got a high fumble rate, I think. I think.

Speaker 1:

I think, t rex, you belongs on the fikings, or?

Speaker 2:

something he does. Oh, he's be great. That backfield, yeah, I think I think we can put T rex on the line, whether it's. I think I think he's good offensive lineman with those arms. But yeah, that's what I did. See that that actually looks like it's gonna be pretty cool. So excited for that. And then I can't wait for slime time to come back. I want, I want the Nickelodeon game to come back at some point. That's always a.

Speaker 1:

That's one of my favorites, so Good job, good job at a kid's what they want.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, give them what they want. Come on and doctorate them early on. Get them into football when they're when they're young. I'm sure I'm sure Leo will be tuning in to uh, to the 930 game this this weekend, oh.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh yeah, you know that, um, I don't, he still hasn't settled on a on a team yet, but um, I'm giving him that, that grace to figure out who he likes. Yeah, I'm just happy that he um can't, like isn't understanding the, the game, the tv yet, or anything of that nature, or anything at all anything really?

Speaker 1:

because he, he would not, he would not be a panthers fan, I don't think, after watching them for these few weeks. So I I think it's good right now that that this is the time for them to struggle, so I can, I can show Leo the true product of of what a being a real Carolina Panthers fan is, although, as I'm saying that, I realize that a true Carolina Panthers fan, this is um Week to week life is actually what this is. So this is a true, true product of of the team. So, yeah, well, that was that became a little bit more more depressing than I wanted it to be, but, um, but, hey, uh, you know, this is, uh, this is great. We are. We are here every week bringing you the best Fantasy football podcast in the world. Um, that's right in the world. So keep tuning in. Um, connor, anything you'd like to add here?

Speaker 2:

No, no, it's great. I love, I love you, I love you taking us out. So just finish the job, dylan, you're doing great job.

Speaker 1:

All right, all right, we'll see you guys later. Bye you.
